Strengths: Simplest meter ever to use. Inexpensive, quick and reliable.
Weaknesses: No date/time
Summary: Having been a Type 1 diabetic for 23 years I have seen just about every blood glucose meter out there and this one, in my opinion, is just about perfect. There is no coding, no batteries to replace/fail, the results appear in just a few seconds and it has a memory. The only thing I didn't like about this meter is that it has no date/time feature. On the other hand that means you don't have to set the clock :-). The price is unbeatable. A box of 50 strips for any other meter will cost at least $50 while this is 50 strips and the meter ready to go right out of the package for $31.99 (best price I've seen anywhere). Ideal for seniors as it has only one button and there's literally nothing to do prior to using it (i.e. coding, setting the date/time, installing batteries etc.).
