Strengths: System has good speed, memory, and hard disk size. Especially good that it comes with XPPro SP2 and full restore disks. Adequate expansion space also provided in the way of AGP & PCI slots & HD bays.
Weaknesses: Disk is EIDE instead of SATA. This was OK for me since I wanted to reuse some old disks.
Summary: Purchased as a replacement for my daughter's aging Dell P1.5 machine. Needed XP Pro SP2 for my home network plus I thought there's a chance she can take this machine to college with her in the fall. The machine came with a keyboard, optical mouse and full restore disks as well as an SATA data cable (not sure what that's for since the machine has an EIDE HD controller). The open AGP & PCI slots, DIMM slot, external drive bays all make for reasonable expandability in a mini-tower unit such as this. Overall a solid value. Hope Acer's so-so reliability reputation doesn't come back to bite me.
