Weaknesses: Relatively small basic Ram, Portability
Summary: 2006-04-12 04:19:29 This is quite big but a cute machine. This is my second Mac but a first powerbook. My first experience of Mac was PowerMac 6100, the very first Mac using Motorola's powerpc processor. More than 10 years ago. Now, it yields its high end position to the Macbook, but it is good enough that I can use it for publishing and editing photos. If you are familiar with, or using, Photoshop and Quirk Express, you may know how this is a good machine. Web surfing is easier now. Actually, I had to use PC because most websites were built for Internet Explore. However, I did not notice any problem with this new Mac on web browsing. Moreover, the wide screen let me open and browse two pages at a time. It's so cool. There is another good reason you may choose it as well as the versatility. Design. Their lighting idea is really cute. I love the orange (charging) light around the power connector, the white light on the lid (power), and silver backlight of keyboard. The rough surface of the keys are another point that I love this laptop. It is big but relatively light. And it is so quiet. The feeling for the battery life is neutral. I could watch the Gladiator (about 2 and half hours) but the battery was dead just after the movie. So, the advertised long life (5 and half hours) depends on the working condition. Enjoy!
