Strengths: easy to use, and price is very reasonable.
Weaknesses: none.
Summary: It's simple to use, This autoscanner has already paid for itself twice over.Your garage will charge you 80 for a diagnostic test. With the autoscanner automatically explains what the code is and you can clear the error code. It's really helpful.

Strengths: Simple and easy to use, Accurate, portable, value for money
Weaknesses: Does not allow real time monitoring or take a snap shot of the condition to analyze later
Summary: This scanner will be able to diagnose the codes on any car 1996 & up. My car showing the dreaded Check Engine Light (CEL) even after the the car service technician fixed it and charged $60 just to diagnose the code.

Though this is only a scanner, you can be assured what the error code means and be prepared how much you can expect for the repair cost.

I bought this scanner, it should the error code and when I looked up it was a simple leak at the gas cap. fixed the leak and never saw the error code again. Well worth the price on first use. Since then I used this scanner to find what is the cause of the problem, reset the CEL on couple of friend's car after fixing the problem.

Would recommend this to anyone having a car 1996 & up

Strengths: Function
Weaknesses: Price
Summary: It does a nice job of reading the codes, monitoring the sensors and resetting. This is a well built tool to help you in your diagnosis. It do help you to understand the problem before you go to the shop.

Strengths: Easy to use Emissions test ready check
Weaknesses: Not as advanced as other mdoels
Summary: The scanner has already saved me enough money to buy another one of these. My car failed an emissions check recently and I wanted to make sure that I had fixed the issue before I took it for the free repeat test. I used the scanner to verify this and fortunately found that my car was not ready as the drive cycle after the repairs had not been completed. I drove the car for another 2 days before testing again. This time it was ready. Needless to say the car passed the emissions test.

Strengths: Easy to use; Read codes precisely and pinpoint the problems; Erase codes in seconds.
Weaknesses: So far none.
Summary: During a rainy day, the 'check engine' light is on my panel of 1996 Maxima. Then I ordered the Actron CP 9135 from amazon. Four days later, it came. it is surprizingly simple to use. Plug it into the adapter at the driver side, after about 30 seconds, 2 codes showed up with some short explanation. One is P0325: knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction (bank 1 or 1 sensor). The other DPC is P0130: sensor circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1). After one hour of research on the internet, I figured out that the oxigen sensor (bank 1 sensor 1) might have some problem, the code P0325 is mostly the ghost error code. I decide to erase the two codes to see if they come back again. So far after 4 days, the ' check engine' light is not coming back yet. Pretty happy with the result, the scanner just saved me hundreds of dollars.

Strengths: reads and clear codes
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: I bought this for a "Service Engine Soon" light that came back on

after I went and had some work done on a Saturn. I hooked it

up and read the same codes that were supposed to be fixed.

I used this to clear the codes and 250 miles later still no SES light. Awesome. Any codes you get, just use the internet and find your

answers there. You might not be able to fix it but at least of

an idea whats wrong. Plus, impress your friends by checking their

cars too.
