Simple No Frills & Cheap
Strengths: Accomodate 2GB SD Card, good feel, okay sound, small design, lightweight, flash light while on, No software needed, $19.99 @ Fry's
Weaknesses: No folder or directory navigation, awkward on/off, no LCD, no sound modes or adjustments, mp3 format only
Summary: 2006-07-17 13:46:40 Simple, no frills mp3 player. Tested mp3 bit rates at 96 to 320, works well. I like that XP recognizes it as another drive so no need to use special software to transfer mp3s. It will create folders for directories but you can't manuver from folder to folder, it only moves song to song. Nice brush finish and button feel. Hassle to turn off/on 'cause need to keep button down about 4-5 secs before it goes on or off. Has problem starting in morning cold 60 degrees or less, I put it between my legs to warm it up a bit - then it will turn on (once on won't shut off). I use it primarily in car with my cassette adapter. I'd buy it again for $20 USA. Looks like once you use an SD card, you no longer are able to use the 128 internal memory, even with the SD card out.
