Summary: This kit is good solution for portable generator hookup to your house, although it does lack one of the cables required to hook up the generator to the outside box. There are 2 of these cables required (one for in house and one for outside of the house) and there is one included. It appears this is common with these kits. Otherwise, the kit is very complete. I was going to install myself (as it appears very simple) but many people advised against this as I would be liable for any electrical issues or fires as I am not a licensed electrician. I hired an electrician to connect if for me. It works great as you can select which breakers/circuits for which you want to have backup power. It is small and discrete as well. All the parts seem to be of high quality.
