Strengths: Gorgeous, easy to customize, numerous new features, huge screen, plenty of ports, and did I say gorgeous?
Weaknesses: All the ports are on the back of the machine. Although it keeps cords out of the way, I wish at least one or two firewire ports were on a side for easy access, similar to the USBs on the keyboard.
Summary: I put off buying this machine just long enough to see my friend's. After that I couldn't resist- there are so many surprises (like a great remote for movies, music, photos). I do wish it came with at least a gig of memory, but with all the features and rebates out for this now, it's hard to complain too much. Plus, it's unbelievably slick.

Strengths: Compact, space saving, stylish, relatively fast. Works with all my existing programs, iLife & Tiger are very cool, 20 inch screen welcome after 17 inch of the past
Weaknesses: Built in iSight lacks flexibility of corded version, ALL connections in the back, 512 ram barely enough, no adjustment on display height/angle, no modem for faxing
Summary: I've had some problems with the super drive on my old 17 inch flat panel. Hopefully the slot drive on the 20 inch will prove more reliable. It's a very sexy machine and handles all the tasks my hobbies and small business.

Strengths: Ease of use
Reasonably advanced configuration
Great monitor
Weaknesses: Price
Limited upgradeability
Accessories can be expensive
Summary: It goes without saying that Apple makes a great product, but at a premium price. As with most products, you get what you pay for. Seeking out a configuration that works for you is the key here. With the 17" configuration, you have a smaller hard drive and slower processor. The G5 Power PC, you have a vast amount of power, most of which you will not be sure of how to utilize if you are using it at home or for a small business. If you are unsure of which configuration to purchase, simply ask yourself if you will regret bypassing the upgraded options. This is a reasonably advanced configuration where you can live without regrets. I have no plans to upgrade to a larger monitor than 20" and I can always add on an after-market external hard drive at a later date. Keep in mind that there are only 2 memory slots, one of which is filled with a 512MB RAM card. That means your expansion option is to go to 1.0, 1.5, or 2.5GB RAM.

Strengths: The real question one has to ask themself is: what exactly is NOT the strength of this machine? It is fast, sleek, powerful, and reliable. There is nothing more anyone can ask.
Weaknesses: A firewire 800 port would have been a nice addition.
Summary: The iMac G5 2.1 GHz 20" is perfect for anyone. Its large display can play movies, big enough for the entire family. For creators and powerusers, it crunches data like a speed demon. Have a creative tooth? With the iMac's multimedia capibilities, any artist can do anything they like! The sky is the limit for this machine. Moreover, it is reliable and is always at your service. Its a great piece for any computer user.

Strengths: Fast Beautiful ease of use, feature content, design
Weaknesses: none
Summary: The imac is the most thoughtfully designed home computer on the market. It handles the day to day of home computer use with ease, but it also has the power to work with all the programs Adobe (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, golive etc.) can throw at it. This computer will find its way into your heart and will become a fixture in your home for years to come.

Strengths: Ease, dependabilty, fast enought to satify my needs, runs all programs I have including the Adoobe's
Weaknesses: It would have been nice to have an headphone jack on the front and USB and firewire on the left side.
Summary: I am picking up one of the "last" 2.1GHs PowerPC G5s. I am already running two other IMacs. As for reliabilty, that speaks for its' self. I am going to use this one as a dedicated audiophile machine.
