Strengths: 1. Just plug & play. Easy to use. 2. The recorded DVD image is sharp.
Weaknesses: 1. The default mode should be DVD Play mode instead of the DVD Record mode.
Summary: It is easy to use, just plug and play.

The recorded image is sharp. There is no compatibility problem at all.

The only "problem" is that the default mode is DVD Recorder instead of the player. Since most of the time, I'll be using it as the DVD or CD player. I have to switch to the Player mode every time. Other than that, I really like it!
