talbotd Member Since: May 2006 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 1 Days	This is junk Strengths: NONE (a device that does not function has no strengths) Weaknesses: Does not function and is as bad as all the reviews on Amazon, Newegg, etc Summary: The unit is mental, completely loses its mind. Turns on and off randomly, aborts recording sessions, fails intermittently. Worked only long enough to record one DVD, never worked again. Even the clock resets itself randomly. This product is in the category of "fidget-widget". You have to fidget with it, beg it to work, pray, and hope for the right phase of the moon. Other people's reviews tried to warn me not to buy it (see other reviews on Amazon, for example), but I bought it anyway. Don't I feel like an idiot?...BUT not as big an idiot as the exec at RCA who thought this product was ready for rollout. 100% of People (3/3) found this review helpful. Very easy Weaknesses: Tray button is hard to reach, manual is hard to understand Summary: I have had the unit for 2 months and its still working beatifully. Transfers my old VHS home movies to DVD. Its a one button easy process. I can easily record movies from TV or from my satelite DVR. Playback of VCR tapes and DVDs worked OK. The DVD recorder will only record with DVD +R or +RW disks.
