 Don't buy this pig Strengths: Easy set up. Supports WPA security.
Weaknesses: Will not stay connected, even with a high gain antenna and the client 10 feet away, line of sight, 802,11b mode.
Summary: The Hawking router does a number of things very well. It is easy to set up, it is secure, it can manage which computers have access to the internet and which on the wireless side have access to the wired side. Very nice.

However, it fails at the basic job of a router. It cannot, does not, will not maintain a connection. Even with the client computer in the same room within 10 feet of the router, the network keeps dropping off and coming back. Even when running only in the 802.11b mode. Its basic wireless transmit and receive function is totally inadequate, poorly designed, or something.

It doesn't work. Simple as that. Don't waste your money.
