Good Value for the Money
Strengths: Value for the Price.
Weaknesses: Windows XP SP2 did not automatically detect the driver. The installation CD has more than one XP driver on it. So I simply picked one, and, fortunately, it worked
Summary: I bought this modem based on the posted comments and saw little risk in doing so because of the low price. My system is home-built, running an Intel P4, 3.06MHz processor, on a Gigabyte 848P Titan P4 Titan MB. It is about 3 years old and still runs flawlessly. The MB has an onboard Marvell Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 Gigabit Ethernet Controller. It is hardwired to a Lynksys WRT54G broadband router, which, in turn, connects to a Motorola SB5101 broadband cable modem. With the new network card, my download speed is actually marginally slower (about 13Mbps than what I've been getting with my onboard Marvell Yukon controller (~14Mbps), the upload speeds are almost identical (1.6Mbps). So, I'm not gaining any speed from this purchase, but I still recommend the card to anyone who currently has an older, 10Mbps card installed.
