Strengths: Solid construction, clarity of sound, instrument separation and imaging, sensitivity and power handling

Summary: I bought these component speakers to replace stock speakers in my Infiniti G35's front doors (paper cones and tweeters connected to them in parallel, with no crossover).
Although the installation was expensive (due to component design and separate crossover box), the results are very satisfying. The instrument separation is very good, they can play loud and clear, the imaging is very good as well.
The frequency response seems to be very good and the treble, bass and midrange are all great. The bass does not go to subwoofer levels, but I find it adequate. Although the specs say 45 Hz, I would venture a guess that in reality it is nore like 60-80 Hz. Still much, much better than OEM speakers.
I highly recommend these JBL components based on solid construction, sensitivity and sound quality.
