Strengths: Fantastic, clear vocals. Flexibility in mounting tweeters
Weaknesses: none to date
Summary: These were the first Polk speakers I had tried and I've since gone back to Polk for both home and car speakers. The vocals and high frequencies "jump" out of these tweeters. I have used these in my Ford Ranger pickup and a '67 Mustang. The Mustang is a convertible and when the top is down, you can still hear the music clearly at 70 mph.
The only mounting concern is to make sure you've got room for 6 & 3/4" inches and the depth to handle the woofer on these units. The tweeters can go just about anywhere. In the truck I have them surface mounted up high (by the visors) on the pilars. In the Mustang, they're mounted in the dash where there was room. Both types of mounts are included.
