Strengths: Small, light, fast, all-in-one (optical drives, ports, webcam), form factor
Weaknesses: Not able to handle games and heavy video; screen size is convenient, but need an external lcd for everyday use
Summary: 2004-09-22 08:27:47 In my opinion this is the best overall subnotebook in the market. If what you're looking for is ~3lb and small size, you have to sacrifice screen size. The TR is one of the smallest with an internal optical drive. I have no regrets about this purchase and the notebook is able to handle everday needs (e-mail, word processing, excel, web surfing, etc). The price is steep, but there are some great deals floating around.

2 Star ReviewThe screen is 10.5" wide, but what they don't tell ...
Strengths: Good keyboard; solid, not flimsy, decently-sized
Weaknesses: The screen.
Summary: The screen is 10.5" wide, but what they don't tell you in the product info is that it is so short -- only 5.5" high. It's ridiculous. I would never buy this computer again. Also, for what it offers, it was really expensive.

Strengths: it is a good computer..i thought it was going to come with xp professional but it was just xp home..it's ok though
Weaknesses: it takes a while to load and the sound is nothing that can be compared to like a toshiba computer
Summary: it is very light and looks nice but it still has some flaws as it is sony. i dont regret buying it though but i think that the pricing is a bit high- you can get a similar computer from toshiba or fujitsu for much less. but what can you expect- it's a sony.

also- the screen collects too much dust.
