Strengths: Outstanding picture quality - bright, fabulous colour & contrast. Slim 3/4" frame design and overall compact cabinet offers clean high tech look. Easy to set up and use. Input flexibilty. Weaknesses: Pre determined picture adjustment modes are not as flexible as most high end CRT units. Warm up time of 30 to 60 seconds until full brightness is achieved. Summary: DLP technology is hard to beat. Picture quality is more natural than most other technologies including plasma at twice the price. Light and compact compared with other 46" units, I was able to set it up myself, and easily move it when cleaning etc. With the variety of video input options, the system (including receiver, dvd player, HDTV converter)can be a bit overwhelming. Strengths: Picture quality - phenomenal brightness, color, and detail. Cabinet size - same as the 43" model, and smaller than all competitors. Weaknesses: Only complaint is that there isn't a 480i-1080i component input. Summary: This unit is must have for anyone with HighDef content availability. Weaknesses: LOUD plastic creak during operation, fan noise, poor "black" charachteristics Summary: This set has been in operation for 11 months. After 2-3 months a strange creaking/cracking noise developed. It's quite annoying. Seems like plastic joints rub against each other as the unit heats then expands and then contracts. Service rep came out and tightened all screws but noise persists. I called the rep again at which point he admitted that Samsung knows of this problem but there is no correction!!!!I have called Samsung several times and they never call back. I'm getting rather upset at this point. Customer service is very poor (this from a guy who, having worked in customer service for years, is very sympathetic, patient and understanding) Samsung is dragging their feet. 92% of People (11/12) found this review helpful. Strengths: Great picture, sound and clarity Weaknesses: None to date Summary: We have had great viewing pleasure with our Sony over the last 3 months. Everyone who has seen it has been very complementary also with the picture and clarity, especially in HD. With the way our room was set up we were worried about the angle of viewing the screen and even at over 150 degrees the picture is very clear.
