Strengths: Excellent picture, useful "Freeze" feature, WEGA Gate
Weaknesses: high price, manual says you can only connect Sony brand cameras and video cameras to the USB interface, not a good tv for "channel surfing"
Summary: This is a great product from Sony. The colors are very vibrant on the high definition channels. I previously owned a regular analog TV and was surprised to be able to get HD channels without needing to purchase cable TV (although they sometimes get pixelated). The picture in picture "Freeze" feature lets you copy down phone numbers or recipes you see while continuing to watch the program. The WEGA gate feature is useful for organizing your favorite channels and getting to all the menus. You can't really "channel surf" on this TV, when changing channels the screen goes black and then goes to the next channel so it's too slow to channel surf like on your old analog set. This is probably more to do with digital signals than the TV itself but it still takes some getting used to. All in all a great TV.

Strengths: Beautiful picture,
Excellent detail and clarity,
Can handle fast motion graphics with no problem
Weaknesses: Black levels almost as good as plasma
Summary: This monitor is fantastic. Out of the box it needs adjustment to the picture. Once set up (I used settings recommended from an online review) the picture really pops. HD broadcast signals look amazing. Watching a football or hockey game in high def I feel like I am in the stands. I was a little leery on getting an LCD for gaming but this monitor handles Xbox 360 games with ease. There is no artifacting or tearing on any game played so far. Black levels are not quite as good as high end plasma but the gap between this monitor and that technology is very small. Glare, which is an issue with most plasmas, is nonexistent on this monitor. I highly recommend this monitor.

Strengths: Picture clarity, and easy set up.
Weaknesses: No 1080p feature for this size set, although it may not be needed?
Summary: 2007-01-25 15:00:29 HD on this set makes one feel like they are actually there! The first thing I saw was a Yosemite Park winter scene from our local KCET HD channel in Los Angeles (Marina del Rey). I was so impressed that I stared at the set for 3 days and forgot to eat!
XBR seems to cover one's rear for any type of broadcast source, etc.
Finally, PowersellerNYC made the purchase effortless; no BS.
Thanks for shopping!

Strengths: Features, cable card, style, picture.
Weaknesses: The "auto adjustment light"
Summary: 2006-10-12 12:49:45 Update: The cable company installed new cable from the outside box to this TV and the picture is great. Looking for reasons why my picture is not as good as it should be. The cable card was installed yesterday and the picture is not good especially on the HD channels. My cable wire is 20 years old. Can this be part of the cause? A few channels don't come in at all on HD. Also the "Picture" adjustment is at maximum when I set the factory default. Is that where it should be? Also "the auto light adj" does nothing but darken the picture too much.

Strengths: The greatest strength of this television is the resolution it has. The clarity is unreal. It also is very simple to set-up. I am experienced with electronics and it only took me 5 minutes to set-up.
Weaknesses: The only weakness to this T.V. is the price. LCD televisions have come down significantly in price, but when you buy a Sony I guess you really can never go wrong. You pay for what you get!
Summary: 2006-04-26 08:30:32 I purchased this television to replace an old 20 inch trinitron that I have had in my room for 10 years when I bought this model was top of the line. Man, how T.V.'s have come a long way. I purchased this 26 inch just because I wanted to, the old one is still going strong. I have made a wise decision. This LCD is the way to go. It has everything I want to connect my DVD player and Playstation and more. The clarity is so unreal. And watching HDTV on it is just jaw dropping. I am certainly glad I choose this television, I know now that I will be spending more time in my room now! I would definitely recommend this television to anyone in the market.

Strengths: unbelievable clarity
Weaknesses: not quite as bright as my rear projection LCD Sony, but I am not dissapointed.
Summary: I got my cable card installed last week and the result is incredible.Even shows that are not HD are still very clear on this television. Normally I am very fussy and refuse to watch any non-HD shows.I also installed this TV on the wall myself using the factory Sony wall bracket. This was very easy to do and I am satisfied with the result. I could not be any more happy with this attractive, very watchable TV.

Strengths: Great Image Quality
Easy Setup
Weaknesses: Premium Price
Summary: This is my second LCD TV. I bought another brand 30" LCDTV last year and was happy with it. After receiving this SONY BRAVIA 26" XBR, I was very surprised how much better the image quality is. Setup was simple; and I was up watching it in no time. I would defintely buy it again; maybe the 32" model.

Strengths: Easy setup, nice bright picture, rich with feature/options, lots of jacks for various hookups, smart styling
Weaknesses: A little pricey, annoying feedback displays that overstay their welcome.
Summary: This is our first LCD type TV (replacing a 20 tube set). Still exploring the many feature and capabilities offered. Nice fidelity from speakers. Found things delivered by cable that are available to me that I didn't even know that I had access to (mainly music channels). For some reason, I'm getting some free HDTV that is bleeding across some other channel(s); I'm not complaining. WEGA system seems enjoyable to use. Check out the FREEZE and channel JUMP features!

Strengths: amazing clarity
Weaknesses: screen only swivels about 45 degrees
Summary: The color and clarity were even better than I had imagined. This is my first high definition tv and I am now hooked. The only negative aspect is I can't bear to watch the medical series because the imagary is too real and bloody. All and all, I am very pleased with my Sony Bravia.

Strengths: Excellent Picture, easy to use. Set up was simple, even for a novice
Weaknesses: None so far. I have just had this product for a week and still learning the system
Summary: The only down fall I found with this product so far is the price. I feel it was a little on the high side by about $400-$500 over what I would have paid. Why did I pay $1999.00 well, it's a sony!

the most irritating thing about this tv is that an ...
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: the most irritating thing about this tv is that anytime you touch the volume control, a volume display bar appears on the tv screen, completely blokcing out move subtitles, game scores, and other inforamtion. Why does anyone need to see a bar showing the volume, anyway? Since I'm still in the 30-day return period, I'll probably return it and buy another brand. For the money this tv costs, I really expect perfection, and Sony has made a big design mistake
