Strengths: Does a great job of vacuum packing food. Folds up nicely and sits out of the way with ease. Prevents freezer burn.
Weaknesses: The vacuum channel and the sealing strip are spaced apart such that you waste between 2"+ of bag material
Summary: Unit works very well and is aesthetically pleasing in our modern kitchen. Its very light but solid and folds up against our backsplash. The power cable folds away nicely within the back of the unit. Vacuum packs food quite quickly and prevents freezer burn and ice crystals that are typical when using zip lock bags or similar. Perfect for bulk buying and packing up food into smaller portions. The only complaint is that the vacuum channel and the sealing strip have been placed, probably by design, about 2" apart. This means that you waste 2"+ of bag material. There is no reason they could have designed them to be right next to each other.
