Strengths: picture quality seems pretty nice and obviously the tv itself is very nice looking
Weaknesses: response time on sharp movements are blurry
Summary: I recently bought this model LCD from staples. I got it a really good price of $420 with tax and after rebates. Ok well the picture quality seems pretty nice and obviously the tv itself is very nice looking. I did however notice the response time on sharp movements are blurry. Now i bought this tv for the bedroom so im really not looking into watching action movies or anything. So really i am sacrificing some pic quality for looks and the fact that i got it a good deal helps.
now remember the contrast ratio is 600:1...that means it steps 600 shades from darkest to brightest rather than 5000 shades like plasma...so things can look a little blocky when you have large dark areas or bright areas the best lcd out there has around 2000:1 (which would be very expensive) and plasmas have aorund 5000:1 (which makes the pic unbelieveablely real). the response time is 16ms...they go from around 8 to 30...8 being the best and 30 being the worst.
Anyhow i wouldnt pay more than $550 for this tv. Otherwise i would wait till the flat tube tvs came out and im sure prices for lcds will go down.

Strengths: Excellent value for an HDTV ready monitor. Picture is super clear on HDTV channels. Good sound for a medium size room. Great design.
Weaknesses: Picure is little snowy on regular channels.
Summary: This is my first HDTV ready monitor and I am very happy with the quality of this monitor for the price I paid. Gives a whole new meaning to waching TV. The design is excellent and mounts easily to the wall (need to buy wall mounts). I recommend anyone who is looking into buying good HDTV monitor without spending too much money.

Strengths: very respectible image quality, easy to use, looks great
Weaknesses: missing some hook-ups and certain functions
Summary: This is a great TV. Has been very dependable. I have seen a few complaints about the color, especially the blue's. But I have found hidden settings that will adjust this TV to your preference. just push 100, 9, 9, 9. The service menu will pop up and you can adjust the TV color temp and other stuff. Hope this helps those who've got the blue's!!!

Norcent LT-2722
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: bad reliability
Summary: TV gone bad in 6 months, bad reliability. DO not buy them, I called customer service, bad service, a lot of hassel to send back and receive another unit. Absolute terrible brand, service and reliability.

Strengths: Price
Weaknesses: 600:1 ratio
Summary: Got one from Staples for $550, that's around $150 less than other places. Good picture on regular cable, nice looking unit, but remote feels cheap. Speakers on the side makes the unit looks bigger than 27" compared to my Samsung. I didn't hook this up to my computer, but while playing PS2 on it, it looks pretty good. S-Video from DVD player gives a very nice picture.

Norcent 27
Strengths: Good picture quality
Weaknesses: black level.
Summary: Can't complain to much on the black level due to the price of the LCD screen. If you need an LCD screen for the bedroom, this should fit the bill. It also has PC input which is another plus.

Strengths: Good picture. Great price. Easy set up. Stylish cabinet. Light weight. PC (VGA)input.
Weaknesses: No DVI or HDMI input. Not cable-card ready. User's Guide doesn't discuss how to hang unit on wall with appropriate wall mount (which is definitely supported).
Summary: I've been looking to enter the HDTV market for a while now. When I saw this TV at a great price I thought I would give it a go. I know that DLP sets are the way to go for large screen viewing but the price of this TV gave me the incentive to purchase it. The picture quality is good and I would recommend this TV if you want to prepare for the HDTV changeover in the next few years. Makes an excellent bedroom or child's room TV if you already have a large screen Plasma, LCD, or DLP set in your entertainment room.

Strengths: low price, clean look, nice picture quality, great tv for the bedroom or kids' room
Weaknesses: not a lot of inputs found in other HDTVs such as HDMI, DVI, cablecard but it's expected in this price range; picture quality isn't the best you'll see in a LCD HDTV
Summary: I just bought another one of these for another room after using the first one for about a month. I saw it again for a lower price that I paid for the first item so it made me want to buy another one. I did a lot of research for a LCD HDTV in the $500-$750 range for a 27" inch and I believe this is the best for the money. This is a great buy for those who are looking to buy a low priced HDTV now so that they can get themselves a nice, big-screen HDTV in a few years later once everything settles down. It does have some picture quality issues that experts will notice but for the average consumer looking for a well-priced LCD HDTV, this is well recommended.

Strengths: This TV is very nice and looks good and is very stable on our Tv stand .
Weaknesses: Picture is not as crisp as real expensive TV. For the price it is well worth it.
Summary: Norcent 27" LCD TV is very nice and very thin sleek look - the screen is clear and the speakers sound very crisp - Definetly would purchase again. Replaced a portable type TV and have never regreted the change.

Picture gona black
Strengths: none
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: Unit received dead on arrival. Received another unit, picture gone bad. Two consecutive bad experience ended up returned and got the refund. Absolutely a piece of scrap, internet review is way overated. I wonder the manufactured put these positive reviews of their own. Don't buy Norcent product, absolutely lack of reliability.

Strengths: Great Price
True Widescreen
Sound is pretty good
Ease of use
Asthetics
Weaknesses: Blacks aren't that great
Remote is weak
Summary: This LCD was a good buy for the most part. The price is hard to beat, and the quality of picture is pretty good. I have a 32" Hyundai LCD, and this is every bit as nice. I wouldn't quite put it on the same level as the Samsung DLP's. Although, if you are looking for something affordable to hang on the bedroom wall, this is your TV

Piece of Crap
Strengths: none
Weaknesses: Not built to last.
Summary: Only had it 2 years and it doesn't turn on anymore. I am on my way to buy a new TV, because no one will fix it. I called the company and they said that they could send me the parts and a manual and I could fix it myself. That's crazy, because I don't even know what's wrong with it in order to tell them what parts I need. On top of that the parts are ridiculously expensive.
