Strengths: physical appearance; removable speakers; numerous inputs
Weaknesses: changes channels slowly; input display on tv is quirky (see comments)
Summary: this tv is great; the weaknesses are nothing critical, just listed because no tv is perfect. as stated, the channels change slowly - you hear the audio before you see the picture (all you see is a black screen) for just a long enough period to be slightly irritating. also, the tv displays a blue box in the upper right corner telling you what the input source is (tv, input 1-4, etc.) this is fine, when i initially switch inputs... however, on occasion, when the input does not change, the tv will randomly pop up the blue box and tell you anyway. so in the midst of watching a movie via dvd, it will pop up and tell me that which i already know! lastly, this is marketed as a "widescreen" tv... so i assumed that when watching a 16:9 dvd movie, it would fill the entire screen. i am wrong. the movie still has black bars on the top and bottom. with the above issues, i have checked every setting on the tv and my Sony dvd player (NS75H) and read all the manuals, and cannot fix any of them. bottom line: a few quirks, but for the money, size, resolution, and other perks, it is an excellent tv!

Strengths: Picture, manual adjustments, connections, sound.
Weaknesses: No PIP, only one HDMI, not PC monitor capable.
Summary: This summer I took the plunge. Prices are down and on this SHARP model down enough for me to condsider it afforable. Absolutely the best picture I have seen on any HD-TV period. Better than Samsung which everyone raves about and even better than any Sony I've seen.
The sound is an added bonus. The speakers deliver a big bright sound with great range. The few weaknesses I list are not that important to me. The users manual that comes with this TV is comprehensive and well written. To me that shows just a high quality item this is.
Viewing angle is no problem at all. We have it in a corner of our 15x25 foot family room and the picture looks great no matter where you stand or sit.
What else is there to say... great price, great TV. I say buy one, now is the time.

Strengths: The picture is viewable in varying light. The removable speakers are a nice feature.
Weaknesses: The setup-connections were difficult to understand from the manual.
Summary: This was not my first choice. I received a damaged Sharp Acquos 26" that was an earlier model. I was lucky to get the upgraded model. The HDTV widescreen resolution makes watching movies with a progressive scan DVD player as enjoyable as going out to a movie theater. After much research I found the Sharp Acquos a better buy than the Sony Brevia for a lot less money.

Strengths: picture is great, viewing angle superb.
Weaknesses: a little confusing to setup connections
Summary: Was a little skeptical to spend the money since it's my first flat panel but am very happy with the whole package. I researched others and found no one could top the Sharp Aquos. The sound is great and it takes up no space at all.

tooooooo slooooowwwwwww
Strengths: clear picture but not wide screen - wasted space with black bands on sides
Weaknesses: incredibly slow to change channels - very annoying - have 20 year old 13 inch JVC that is more responsive.
Summary: 2006-09-03 16:50:38 will most likely return and try other brand for above reasons
also, don't know if this is a problem with the tv but we do not have cable or dish yet and the old tv got channel 28 and 50, the PBS channels, and this does not with same antenna hookup.

Strengths: Great price value, awesome sound, easy to use on screen adjustments. Numerous inputs, digital audio output, etc.
Weaknesses: No picture in picture (that would be greedy)I wish the TV had discrete remote control codes like the LG Models $$$.
Summary: If you are like me, tired of paying for a digital cablebox each month then this is your answer. I love my TV and plan to buy a couple more since the new 2007 models do not have cablecards anymore. Excellent price/value!
