Strengths: Power, ascetics, front level control
Weaknesses: a bit "thumpy" sounding at low levels.
Summary: This is a really sweet sub for the money. It has more than enough power, it looks really nice if you have to have it visible, and has a front level control which is pretty nice to have.

Yes it is a sub, but the downward firing woofer does create a problem where the bass is too "thumpy" at low levels (not getting a smooth bass sound at the low levels).

Strengths: Powerful bass. I had to turn it to a low setting to keep it within my comfort zone, but I am 64 years old and not used to overwhelming bass sounds.
Weaknesses: Don't find any weaknesses.
Summary: This product had everything promised.Powerful bass. I had to turn it to a low setting to keep it within my comfort zone. This is the first subwoofer I have ever purchased, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Strengths: very powerful bass, clean look, front level controls, works very well with the Athena Point 5 speaker system
Weaknesses: A little difficult to calibrate properly to avoid the "thumpy" sound the previous reviewer mentioned
Summary: This is a great sub at an incredible price. It has very strong and deep bass reproduction. It does, however, take a little configuring of the crossover and receiver settings to find the right sound. But after a few minutes of playing around with the settings, your ears will tell you when you've found the proper levels & this sub will will be a great compliment to a quality speaker system and receiver.
