    Product Experience:
    4 Months
Strengths: Where else can you find a receiver w/ these features, for the price? HDMI, integrated iPod control, USB for PC, advanced auto set-up w/ mic, THX certification, i-link, XM tuner!!? Others overpriced!
Weaknesses: I wish you could tell it to "skip" inputs that aren't being used. It's a LOT to scroll through w/ the rotory knob to find what you are looking for sometimes. Manual could be written a little better.
Summary: I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a near top-of-the-line home AV receiver. It looks terrific and has just about anything you will want/need (for a few years anyway). I haven't used the iPod function yet (not getting an iPod for a few more months), but had the feature shown to me at a local dealer...can't wait for that. Had a problem with XM radio, where if I didn't listen to it for about a week, none of the channels worked and I had to call them to sort of "re-boot" it, if you will. I believe that problem to be on XM's side, not the receiver. If this receiver featured HDRadio tuner, BOTH satellite offerings (Sirius too), and HDCD decoding, it would be a dream...

    5 Months
Strengths: iLink, smooth and fluid select and volume knobs, MCACC automatic speaker set-up, THX certified...
Weaknesses: I wonder if I can go louder on it.
Summary: What can I say? It has everything! The MCACC speaker set-up is a fun thing to work with. Just attach the supplied microphone, let the system go though its paces, and voila, the speakers are set up perfectly! If you get a Pioneer DVD player the factory remote will control the receiver and it at the same time. So far I have had this about 5 months and am so comfortable with its performance and operation that I would sorely miss having it. I like how the readout on the front can be dimmed to nothing so it doesn't interfere with movie watching. I use this to listen to music too and it sounds great at soft volume and awesome at reference volumes. Watching TV is a more believable experience... the good prime time shows are in surround sound.

I give this the max amount of stars!

Strengths: +7 channels, great sound pushing my Axiom speakers + Price was right + more than meets my expectations
Weaknesses: +larger than my yamaha at same power this is very minor but having hard time trying to fit below my sony 50" DLP
Summary: Great looking receiver and sounds impressive.

Just got is so I have not had the chance to push my DVDs or multiple CDs through this unit.

That will be done after 25 Jun since I'm in the middle of a move.

TV came through good, HDMI worked from CD player, did not have a chance to try it off the cable box.

there are plenty of hookups in the back.

the auto setup (so to speak) works fairly well, IMHO better than the Yamaha version.

I loved my Yamaha but when it was time to upgrade I chose this one based on a variety of reasons: cost, capability, sound (reviews) and HDMI.

will add to the review once I'm established at my next base.

cheers
