LCD is relatively inexpensive. Warranty is 3 years. I bought this for office use. The programs used are typical word processing, spread sheets, and some graphics programs. Samsung makes solid LCD's and CRT's and has a very good reputation. No dead pixels. It started up without any problems using digital connection. The screen can be rotated and height is adjustable - very nice features that influenced my decision. There is the usual set of controls to adjust and tweak the image - nothing that I really get into since you don't usually need to adjust them after the first time. From my experiences with other LCD's, the 940T looks very good. I'm sure there are better looking LCD's (more $$), but it has performed as well as can be expected for office use. Images looked very good. The only reason to not go with this model is the HIGH response time (16 ms). I actually played Counter-strike and there's just too much ghosting. Weaknesses: None Summary: A little more expensive than other 19" LCDs, but in this case you get what you pay for. It offers the highest contrast and most brilliant color of any LCD I've seen. Excellent configurability: the monitor rotates, and the stand raises, lowers, tilts, and swivels. The monitor looked great right out of the box (I'm using the DVI connection) and Samsung included utilities to fine tune the color and gamma (important for photo editing.) At native resolution, text is crisp. The extremely wide viewing angle of 178/178 makes this monitor a pleasure to use. NO DEAD PIXELS. The monitor arrived with the brightness turned all the way up. Too bright for my eyes, I turned it down quite a bit without sacrificing color fidelity. There are a couple of different technologies out there for lcd displays - some offer faster display (at the expense of true color), others offer highest quality color and contrast. This is not the fastest display on the market, and may not be the best choice if you are a hard core gamer. If top quality display is your priority, you won't be dissatisfied. Awesome graphics and NO DEAD PIXELS Weaknesses: None found yet. Summary: I have used a few of these in both VGA and DVI cconnections. The best unique feature (from most LCD's) is the adjustable stand. Lift up to view at eye level and reduce fatigue and/or many other configurations. N/A Member Since:	Stunning !! Strengths: Brilliant colors, crisp text, and plenty fast enough response time for any PC activity except for high FPS 3D games. AND NO DEAD PIXELS Weaknesses: Have to install software to use the special features like screen rotation, and even then, the software is buggy and will most likely crash your system trying to use it. It did mine. Summary: Hook this thing up to a good strong video card using DVI, do a small bit of tweaking in it's menus, and prepare to never go back to CRTs !! 71% of People (10/14) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: A bit weightier than need be. Summary: 2007-04-20 05:33:10 Seems a graet buy for the features. It has a slow rated response time but no problem if you aren't a gamer. I liked the feature of portrait view though I haven't used it yet but the swivel, tilt and elevation adjustments work excellently well and are very handy.
