Strengths: Interesting plots, lots of action, extremely fun
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I absolutely love these games. There are so many exciting missions, lots of great action, and the weaponry is a trip! Plotlines are inventive in both games, and of course, the cheats often lead to even more fun (the tank rules). What can I say, if you haven't already picked up these games - do so. It is some of the best money you will spend.

Strengths: Nice real racing game
Weaknesses: Too bloody
Summary: I got this double pack from circuit city's clearence bin for $10 and I thought this is the best deal/price that I got so far. It comes with two discs, grand theft auto 3 and grand theft vice city. This game is real~ your car will break down and get burned!! You will actually run over peoples!! You can really punch people and kill them! Sounds very bloody and I think it is a much better game than crazy taxi.

Strengths: Two good games, cheap price, wonderful gameplay
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: Most eeverybody has heard of the Grand Theft Auto series by now (gamers love it, the media hates it). Depending on who you listen to, you will get all sorts of reviews. I'm giving you the gamer's review. These games are definitely something to pick up if you get the chance. They have made some excllent upgrades from the previous versions, so no need to worry about out dated material, graphics, or music.

The gameplay is excellent in every way. As others have said, you get to roam free throughout Liberty City or Vice City and do pretty much whatever you desire. There are several series of missions that you can do, and those will run in order. However, the series themselves can be done in whatever order you please (or not at all if you don't want to!). The ability to roam free means if you get bored, you can start running over people, getting the police to chase you, and then stealing their vehicles (including a tank) to create even more chaos. It really is a blast.

Grand Theft Auto started something new and innovative. With each title, it has improved upon these things to make them even better. This being the 4th and 5th titles in the series, you know they've made a lot of improvements and they will show through for sure!

Strengths: The games that revolutionized a genre and also brings tons and tons of fun
Weaknesses: Nothing really, graphics could be better, but it is at the sacrifice for tons of gameplay value
Summary: What is left to say about Grand Theft Auto? If you haven't heard of it, go buy it now. The Grand Theft Auto Double Pack contains both the revolutionary Grand Theft Auto III and its sequel Grand Theft Auto Vice City.

The basic premise of both GTA games puts you in a huge sprawling life-like city where you can explore at your lesure. You are hardly forced to do anything you don't want and you take missions on as you want there. There are tons of things to do in these games, from building your criminal empire, helping friends, racing, fighting, shooting, flying, getting cash and property and tons of more secrets.

GTA III puts you into Liberty City which works as a fictional version of New York City. This is the game that started it all. You play a nameless man you was just released from jail and you start taking on jobs to pay the bills. See what happens in the engaging storyline as you become bigger and more influenctial in Liberty City.

GTA Vice City puts you in the role of Tommy Vercetti in Vice City, a fiction Miami set in the 80s. The game does a great jon of capturing the look and sounds of the 80s in a story where you rise to prominence and are double crossed and must seek revenge.

Both of these games are amazing, and you really should go play them now. They offer free roaming open ended gameplay with great soundtracks and tons to explore. Get it now!

Strengths: 2 great titles in 1 package, lots of fun missions, mayhem, cars, and hours upon hours of gameplay
Weaknesses: not much
Summary: GTA3 and GTA:VC are two of the greatest titles to ever hit PS2. With the ability to roam free, you are free to do whatever strikes your fancy. You can go do the missions whenever you like, in whatever order you like (to a certain extent) or you can go and just randomly do other fun stuff (jump motorcycles off ramps/buildings, create mass havoc, etc.). Overall, the 2 games are extremely fun and will create days and days of entertainment for both players and watchers alike. The biggest problem I had with the games was in Vice City, they try and create a bit of realism by having the sun come up and down to create a day/night effect. Unfortunately, it is almost too real, as when the sunrise/sunset is taking place, it is impossible to see anything if you are driving in towards the direction of the sun. Other than that small thing, this double pack gets a perfect 10.

Strengths: Huge playground to enjoy yourself in, rich soundtrack, attempt at "adult" storytelling
Weaknesses: "Double Pack" had some changes to names to lessen licensing costs (guns and so forth), some PS2-specific effects removed, Tommy won't lock doors on even a tank, which makes for some embarassing busts
Summary: The recent GTA games are an excellent example of what's called "sandbox gameplay," which basically means they give you a huge playground with a lot of independent things happening that you can affect and do, and while there is a basic narritive structure, you can derive a lot of enjoyment out of just running around and doing whatever strikes your fancy. I've spent my time with Vice City the most so far, and not only do I really dig the stereotypical 80's setting with such classic music, but it's definitely a rich playground to enjoy yourself in. There are a couple of things that will bug you, like how deaths can happen from very random events interfering with an otherwise acceptable run through a mission, and then you start over from nothing, having to reclaim your guns and armor before trying again, often multiple times. The cheat codes become an "accepted" way to play for you, the game almost seems designed for them to be used in some cases (unless you enjoy 10 minutes of fetching just to start a mission that you may die in within the first minute). But even when you're cheating, as long as you aren't going overboard (and there's no "full invincibility" code or anything, even as I pointed out above, you can be pulled out of a tank by a thug or cop), you still have a lot of fun. That is, until you skid into a puddle of water and Tommy drowns. Ah, Tommy, if only you could dog-paddle. (I've heard CJ can swim in the new San Andreas title, but I've yet to play that.)

It's definitely one of the most important games of the generation, even if you don't think you'll like the game because of its style or content, you should at least give it a play. It really is shocking just how much fun you can have cruising around, wrecking and blowing up things, with no mission telling you what to do.

Strengths: Two great games
Weaknesses: Not as good as San Andreas
Summary: All playstation 2 owners should have already played these games, if not, they should go out and get these two games. GTA 3 and Vice City are two of the best games ever behind GTA San Andreas. GTA lovers will enjoy the extreme variety and incredible amount of replay ability of the games.

Strengths: Its a two pack of excellent games - Pure unadulterated fun
Weaknesses: Will warp your mind
Summary: Its a double dose of Grand Theft Auto : GTA3 and GTA : Vice City.

Obviously, if you own one or the other, you don't need to buy this, but if you don't, this is the best deal you can get for getting both games.

This game is excellent for letting off steam, as long as you realize its not in any way shape or form related to reality. Whatever happens in Vice City, stays in Vice City.

Strengths: GTA: Vice City
Weaknesses: GTA 3
Summary: This two pack has GTA 3 & GTA:VC, for anyone who doesn't know.

GTA3: The level looks mostly dark and gloomy. Enough on GTA 3.

GTA: Vice City: The level alternates from day to night. The level is huge and has multiple areas that can be explored, with either car, cycle, boat, plane, or copter, all of which operate great. When you get the 'itch' theres so many guns to choose from; machine guns, hand guns, bazookas, theres multiples of each. The game also has a rating system which tells you how hard the laws going to come after you (i.e. 2 stars = johnny law, 3 = swat, 4 = FBI, and 5 = Military). I'd recommend this to anyone who isn't offended by violence, language, sex, and nudity. This is Rated M after all.
