 This computer is not for someone who knows what they are doing with one. Strengths: Hard drive is big and thats about it.
Weaknesses: Graphics card is weak, on upgradable to 2GB of RAM, sound card is weary, and warrenty is voided when adding new hardware.
Summary: Ok, this computer is the worst computer I have ever seen. Its hardware is ok but it is hard to upgrade with a limited amout of slots. I had a problem when I wanted to upgrade to Win Xp Pro and the computer wouldnt let me. It wouldnt read the hard drive in it to be able to install Win Xp Pro. And I thought this was really crappy because if and when Vista comes out, many people want be able to upgrade to it because the acer install disk make the hard drive in it to where its not going to be upgraded. I ended up putting another graphics card in it (ATI Radeon X700 pro) and another 512mb stick of RAM. Then I had the problem with the hard drive because it wouldnt be able to install another windows on it, so I had to go out and by another hard drive (200GB) and clean install the Win XP Pro on it with the Acer hard drive unpluged to get it on there. Then I put the Acer back in and it made the Acer hard drive the primary and it didnt read my 200gb hard drive with Win Xp Pro. So managed to get the 200gb to boot up with the Acer pluged in and I formated the Acer hard drive to get my computer back under my control instead of acer controlling it. And that is all I have to say about this computer.
