Read More Description: With your purchase of any Graphire tablet, you'll get valuable art and photo editing software, including Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 to help you edit photos, Nik Color Efex Pro 2 GE to help you selectively add creative color effects and filters to any photo, and Corel Painter Essentials 2 to help you create unique artwork from your digital photos. Graphire works great with any software your mouse does.. Also, you can use a Graphire pen to unleash new functionality designed for pen tablets within Windows Vista like personal note taking, email signing, handwriting recognition, handwritten emails, and pen flick navigation. It s easy to use a pen tablet because every point on the tablet has a matching point on the screen. When you move your pen over the tablet, the cursor moves in precisely the same way on the screen. Where you touch your pen tip to the tablet is where you click. Using pressure sensitivity, you can dynamically control things like exposure, brush size, opacity, and more. The ergonomic design of the Graphire tablet lets you work comfortably. The transparent frame allows you to customize your Graphire by inserting family photos, artwork, designs, or textures below the tablet cover. Two programmable ExpressKeys give you convenient mouse clicks and keyboard shortcuts right at your fingertips. Strengths: Easy to set up; works with just about any digital art program out there; durable construction; accomodates all kinds of artist's brush strokes; transparant frame great for tracing
Weaknesses: Some learning curve involved in hand-eye coordination; EverNote virtually useless (for me, at least); not much need for the included mouse; Pen ergonomics could be better
Summary: This nice medium-sized tablet has saved me some serious time in modifying my scanned drawings. With a little work, you can easily draw digitally and work it so that your work doesn't have that "machine-made" feel to it, although you'll need some time to adjust. With an LG 1981 LCD monitor, I've managed to create a workstation that actually rivals drawing by hand (although I still think my hand-drawn work is of much higher quality). Nevertheless, I recommend this for most computer artists, as it accomodates most stroke sizes and styles but won't break the bank like Wacom's Intuos line will. Operation and Installation of the Graphire4 is smooth as silk and it appears to support every kind of art applications out there.

Strengths: Easy to use, great control, well made, good software bundle
Weaknesses: Mouse is of limited value; hardwired USB cable
Summary: This product works great! With it, I'm suddenly able to edit and retouch pictures in ways I couldn't with just a mouse. All of the features work well; it seemed a little strange at first, but it rapidly becomes intuitive. And it's a great way to show off! The included mouse is not terribly useful to me, and doesn't seem to switch modes as advertised, and I'd rather have a USB cable with connectors on both ends. Other than that, only praise for this tablet.

Strengths: Easy to set up and use, quality feel to it, no batteries needed.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I purchased this tablet for my daughter, who requested it for Christmas, and can say it is one of the most used presents under the tree this year! My daughter is kind of on the 'artsy' side who likes to draw, paint, sculpt, etc. She would spend countless hours on the computer trying to draw with programs like Paint and many 'free trial' programs on the web. I asked her what programs were worth buying and she asked for a graphics tablet instead. I did the usual research on the web and checked eBay for tablets. There were many no-names out there in the $20 to $40.00 range but I wanted a quality name brand tablet instead. The professional graphic artists leaned towards Wacom products and the Graphire4 line is their entry level priced tablets.
My daughter set it up in about five minutes and had the included software installed without a hitch. She was drawing in no time at all. She says it works better than she expected and even commented on how well everything felt. A nice solid unit.
Well, you can read the product description for all the fancy details. My daughter says this tablet does exactly what she needs to draw free hand pictures and modify existing drawings. I'm sure there are many more features yet to be discovered. I (we) would recommend this tablet for the aspiring graphic artists in the family.

Strengths: Accurate, easy to install, stylish
Weaknesses: None
Summary: After finally getting fed up with photo retouching and Photoshop website layout design using a mouse, I decided to break down and purchase a Wacom tablet. Boy am I glad I did!
It's true that gaining the unique type of hand/eye coordination required to use a computer digitizing tablet takes a little bit of time, and there is a learning curve, the time is well spent and the purchase well worth it.
The tablet has already started saving me a great deal of time, allowing me to make very precise movements, selections, and drawings using Photoshop and Illustrator.
Of course, as previous reviews have said, using the tablet for note taking via character recognition is pretty much a waste of time, and if you can type decently you're better off just typing any text that you need. But that's not really what the tablet is for...this is a graphics workhorse and although I've never used the more expensive models, I think that this will serve me just as well for a very, very long time.

Strengths: Extremely easy to install. Works well with Windows XP. Cursor responds 1:1 with movements. Attractive design with sturdy wrist support and non-skid underside.
Weaknesses: NONE!
Summary: I URGE you to go ahead and purchase the WACOM Graphire4 6x8 USB Tablet! I can't express how happy I am to finally have made a decision on a tablet and chose WACOM's Graphire4. The price was awesome too! So many nice features and not the outrageous price as in other graphic tablets.
The pen features are smooth and easy to grasp. I'm even impressed with the clear lucite holder! No losing the pen among your desk pens. The holder holds the pen upright and ready for easy grab.

Strengths: VERY quick to setup & learn- easy to move from mouse to pen& love the idea there are No batteries & the mouse can replace the reg mouse
Weaknesses: some of the software provided is difficult to set up. The pen's motions take a bit of getting used to & the pen buttons are a bit awkward to access
Summary: Love this & while the pen took a bit of getting used to as a tool it was GREAT!!! Easy to clone/lasso etc. nearly every tool on the Adobe Elements 3.0 was a breeze with the pen.
The tablet set up's are easy to access & it loaded onto the computer in a flash & was up & running immediately.
As an intermediate graphics editor I recommend this for photos. It was also easy to write to the evernote program so now I can scribble reminders in a flash!!
