Strengths: Reasonably priced, lots of ports
Weaknesses: n/a
Summary: This HP TV is very similar to the Sharp Aquos, but has more ports and more color selection which I really like. The picture quality is suberb and the size of the tv is great for watching movies. It would be nice if this TV had a height and swivel adjustable stand, but other than that I reccommend this tv.

Strengths: Picture quality. Tons of input and outpuit connections
Weaknesses: Remote
Summary: I use this tv for viewing HDtv over the air channels and also digital over the air channels. The picture quality for both is spectacular.
Setup was quite easy. There is just about every imagineableinput hookup available for this tv.
If you are thinking of using this a s a PC monitor than this is definitly the one for you. It has a DVI, HDMI, along with all the other usual inputs.
I highly recommend this tv.

Strengths: Great picture quality, excellent value and build
Weaknesses: Only the stand, really.
Summary: These HPs are actually the identical displays as the Sharp Aquos line, the difference is the HPs have a greater number of inputs, different speaks and more audio/visual variables to play around with. I really like that the speakers can be detached (easily), because the screen by itself is quite stylish. Now the stand has a large imprint and a fairly ugly metallic grey. this can be fixed by hanging/mounting the screen on a wall. But since these screens are siblings with the sharp, the stand the sharp uses can be easily switched with the HP stand. A third option is take some glossy black spraypaint (I used Krylon) and give a couple coats to the stand. You can detach the stand while you coat it to avoid spraying the screen.
As for the display itself, there are 2 component inputs, 1 s-video, 1 dvi with audio and 1 hdmi. There is an optical audio out if you wish to use external speakers. Connecting inputs in the back can get a little tight with larger hands, and there are no sets of front inputs. The picture quality is great, on par with samsung sony, and of course the aquos line. But because you have a greater degree of tweaking freedom, you can get a display that is more finetuned to what you like. With most hdtvs, standard cable picture looks like of ugly. But videogames and dvds look great with no ghosting or motion-blurring.
I highly recommend this tv as a great value, and great picture with the inputs to handle whatever you need to throw its way. And if the stand puts you off, there are solutions to it.

Strengths: Great Picture. Sound is good. General interface is easy to use.
Weaknesses: Detachable speakers are ugly and awkward when separated. Remote is hard to read in dark (lite up, though). some picture feature don't work when using component video input.
Summary: I just bought this HP 32" HDTV. I live in downtown Manhattan, so I wasn't surprised to find my HDTV tuner couldn't pull anything in. I've got digital cable now, and movies, sports (even Law & Order!) look amazing in HD. The sound is good, but I'd planned on using the detachable speakers separately, but they're ugly and don't stand on their own when separated. Attached, the TV is very wide, but I still love it. The remote is hard to read. It does lite up when you push a button, but it doesn't last long enough to find what you want. There were some nice visual features for stretching or manipulating the picture to fit the screen which no longer work now that I have digital cable, but I still love the TV. I bought it after the recent price drop, and at this new, low price, I think it's a great deal. Hope this helps...

Strengths: picture quality, durability, design
Weaknesses: n/a
Summary: This is a re-branded Sharp Aquos TV. I love the Sharp TVs, but the re-branded HP cost less (for me anyway), so I bought the HP. This is my first HD and 32" TV and I am very happy with this purchase. This TV has great vivid picture quality, various inputs/outputs, easy to set up, and user friendly. I highly reccommend this TV. I have not used this TV as a computer monitor.

Strengths: Fantastic picture 1080i/720p
Extensive color management,
Tons of inputs including HDMI, DVI, and 2 components.
Doubles as a PC monitor.
Intuitive user display.
Nice, easy to use, backlit remote
Weaknesses: Big clunky stand
Weak color settings out of the box
Speakers are adequate, but can be removed to improve look of TV.
Summary: There's not much to complain about with this set. It's extemely attractive and and well designed. HP was smart in rebadging a Sharp Aquos, and improving upon it by giving it more flexibility. Detach the speakers and you've got a great looking set with a piano gloss finish. Great PQ and a myriad of inputs are a must have. But what I really like about this set are the small touches. For example, you can adjust color settings for every input. It has an exhaustive list of adjustable color and display settings. There's even a antenna signal strength meter for HDTV channels. HP built this set with great user flexibility in mind. Even though it doesn't support 1080p, this set should keep you happy for a long time.

Strengths: Lots of inputs, DVI, HDMI, iLink, cable card etc. Lots of control over color saturation, Tint and Hue. Adjustable backlight to acheive proper black levels. Decent SD picture, Excellent HD picture.
Weaknesses: Factory setting require tweaking to achieve the proper skin tones. There are no inputs on the side. Could be an issue with the cable length.
Summary: This unit was sitting next a 32inch Sharp Aquos in the store. The picture looked identical. The menus were identical, except HP has a few extra inputs and also 6 extra color controls. I have also read at some place that the HP panels are made by Sharp. I have owned the unit for 3 days, the SD picture from cable looks the same as my 32 inch CRT. It has adjustable back light that can be changed manually to adjust the black level. You also set the OPC that adjust brightness based on ambient lighting and viewing condition. Overall I love the picture on this TV. Setup was easy. I did not have to open the owners manual or the guide for the setup. One complaint that I have is that all the input are at one side of the TVs and with my setup, require extra long (5ft) long AV cables to reach the input from components.

Strengths: Gorgeous Picture Quality, Rebadged Sharp Aquos with More inputs, unbelieveable price! Bought for a steal at $566.99 on clearance at Compusa!
Weaknesses: For the price, absolutely none. Could use a bit better sound out of the speakers.
Summary: I absolutely love this TV. The picture is unbelievable! It takes everything I can hook to it and I still have inputs left over! Decent sound out of the speakers, but that could be a bit better. Overall, I love the TV!

Strengths: Large number of hook-ups, excellent menu and adjustment system, HP support
Weaknesses: Proprietary remote control code means you cannot use other remotes to control the TV unless they are "learning" remotes
Summary: The only reason I bought this TV was because of the price....I really did not need a new TV. I am THRILLED that I found it. The TV is rated best or second best by many, due to the large amount of hook-up options available. You can hook up your computer, camcorder, and so much more. Another reason this unit is so well-liked is because it is an enhanced Sharp Aquos TV. It is better than the Aquos because it has more connection options, plus an enhanced on-screen menu. This TV is assembled using Sharp's best 32" panel, so you cannot go wrong with this unit. One other thing of interest is the base. It has a solid base that is very stable, so there are no worries of knocking the unit over. If you are in the market for an LCD television, be it 26" or 32" then I suggest giving this unit some serious consideration.

Strengths: good quality tv, hd, lcd, great price
Weaknesses: speakers on side, cheezy remote
Summary: 2006-08-14 06:23:05 this tv is really nice. the screen looks good and it's easy to maneuver around all the menu screens. i was able to grab this tv for $700, and for that price, this tv is phenomenal. it has lots of input/cable options, and they are all hidden by a panel which is nice. it's also very lightweight and easy to move around.
it does have a larger, clunkier base than most of the other LCDs I've seen, but it still looks nice. the remote also looks a bit cheap, but it's not a big deal. overall, this is a good quality tv.

Strengths: Great picture, easy set-up
Weaknesses: Remote control code doesn't work with TimeWarnerCable
Summary: Great picture, set-up was ok, sound is great. Bought this at CompUSA for $699.95 + tax. The manager showed me their cost (when I tried to use a 10% off coupon), $950! Couldn't use the coupon, but it was a great buy anyway. Only problem, I'm on TimeWarnerCable, and their remote won't work the proper code for the HP's remote. So far the time being I'm having to use both remotes to work the TV/Cable box. I really like the picture and sound. I have a Viewsonic 27" LCD TV also, and the HP has a better picture I believe. Course, one reason I bought the HP was the Viewsonic can't use the TWC remote either! Oh well, great LCD TV!

Strengths: - HDMI
- Cable Card
- Built-In HD Tuner
- Lots of inputs
- Price
Weaknesses: - None so far
Summary: I found this TV on clearance at CompUSA and I believe they are not being manufactured any more. Either way, it was a great value and had all of the features I was looking for. In particular, I'm not aware of any other TV in this price range that has an HDMI port, Cable Card slot AND a built in OTA HD tuner. I just recently got this TV, but so far, it is great. The picture is sharp and bright, the design is stylish, and the sound is good. I don't have any complaints. Good luck finding one of these in stock!

Strengths: Very attractive screen, sleek and black, although in a well lite up room you might get some glare. Lots of inputs, but only 1 HDMI. Lots of color options.
Weaknesses: Big unattractive stand, isnt very stylish, but is sturdy.
Summary: I did a lot of research before making the jump to the HP. I compared it to the Samsung LNR3228W and the Dell W3201C. Although the Samsung offers a better picture quality, the HP hands down beats in the category of input and color options. The Dell didn't compare in picture quality and was around the same price. I'd give this TV 3.5 Stars. The attached speakers are adequate to good.
