Strengths: Compact, good sound quality.
Weaknesses: No volume or mute control. Headset tends to move around.
Summary: The MX150 is a compact headset which makes it convenient for carrying around. It would be much better if it had a volume & mute control (like my old M140) so that I could easily adjust the volume without having to reach for my phone.

Strengths: Very comfortable once you get it situated. Person on the other end does not even realize you are on a headset. Have not had any complaints from any person on the other end.
Weaknesses: Some calls depending on the person are very low. You can still hear but low enough to want to raise the volume but can't anymore.
Summary: 2005-02-22 05:45:29 Overall for the price I believe this is a great unit. Have not had any problems and easy to use once you get the hang of it. The Flex-Grip design once situated holds on very well and actually have to give it a tug if you want to pull it off, fits very well. Microphone boom provides the optimal fit as you are able to adjust it for either ear and you are also able to move it when ever you want.

Strengths: very comfortable and stylish. i went with the boom mic because it picks up your voice very well. sound quality is top notch! the new ear design holds very well without hassles.
Weaknesses: You might look like a goof ball walkin the streets with a boom mic. but atleast it looks better than all!
Summary: I where glasses so I do not like those headsets that wrap behind the ear or the buds that always fall out because they do not conform to the ear. But this works! it goes in the ear and holds well. This is one headset that works better than imagined. defintely worth the price but look around anyways :) very comfortable and stylish. this is exactly what i was always looking for. i went with the boom mic because it picks up your voice very well. sound quality is top notch! the new ear design is intelligently created and holds very well without hassles.

Strengths: Small, easy to put in ear, clear sound
Weaknesses: doesn't fit that great, moves around a little bit.
Summary: The plantronics MX150 is a good headset with very good sound quality. The flex grip does make it easy to place in the ear one-handed, but I do not find that it fits exceptionally well. The boom is small and out of the way and maintains good quality. The best improvement would be a more comfortable fit inside the ear.

Strengths: comfortable fit, nice looking design
Weaknesses: sound quality low, falls off the ear easily, the plug has to be pushed in hard for it to work correctly and loosens often during a conversation.
Summary: it may look nice, but overall the product is a disappointment. the product does not facilitate talking on the cell phone. it's more maintenance than it should be since it falls off the ear easily, and the plug has to constantly be played with for sound to come through correctly.

Strengths: Comfortable, durable (stays on without having to shove the earbud into your ear), crystal clear communication on both ends, stylish. Need I say more.
Weaknesses: After using the product for a few days...I still LOVE it...however, I realized a drawback...there is no answer/hangup button on the cord. It would be nice to hang up a call w/o pulling out the phone.
Summary: 2004-07-05 10:51:35 I just received this product yesterday. I made my purchase based on several referrals and on the Plantronics name. I reviewed the item on the Plantronics website (they suggested this model for my usage preferences and phone type). I really like it and the best part of all, I got a really great deal through PriceGrabber. It really puts the consumer in the drivers seat. Thanks EdgeCellular for an easy transaction and prompt delivery.

Strengths: Clear signal, professional looking, lightweight, on/off button.
Weaknesses: Ear cover easily comes off after much use. Easy to tangle. Low volume input and output.
Summary: I had a hard time deciding between this one and the Jabra FreeSpeak, both about the same price range and size. I was recommended this one by a Sprint employee due to it's clarity, but at a sacrifice to volume levels. In retrospect, I should have gone with the latter, it doesn't matter much when you can't hear anything.
I'm not deaf by any means, but I'm around audio equipment all the time and sometimes I'd like to hear who's on the line when there's noise in my environment. I've had a few complaints of people asking me to speak louder while using the headset as well.
The piece itself is very professional looking. I'll be honest when I say that 80% of my deciding factor was how cool I'd look wearing it. Despite looking a little odd, this is a very clean-looking piece of equipment that I enjoyed wearing in the car or otherwise.
The construction is mostly plastic with a boom that rotates 180 degrees to either side. The rounded ear clip at the bottom is a fairly strong piece of rubber with a flexible backbone embedded inside. Right out of the box, this thing isn't moving anywhere when it's attached to your ear, even when sticking your head out the window of your car as you're driving. After my two months of use, it had lost about 10% of it's original strength, but it's still more than enough to hold it's form under duress. There's also your typical foam covering over the earpiece. It's on there pretty tight, but after repeated use, especially taking the jumble of wires out of my pocket, it can come off. The rubber clip is enough to hold it in place, but for those of us whose ears never seem to be able to hold those damn single earpieces, its hold just becomes a little too weak to feel comfortable walking around with.
Mine had an on/off button on the cord, so I dunno what these other guys are talking about. The jack is a tight L-shaped mini-plug and the cord is roughly three and a half feet long.

Strengths: Good sound quality, clips onto earlobe making it unlikely it will fall out
Weaknesses: Kind of awkward to initially position into ear, microphone picks up a lot of "wind" when even just walking about outdoors
Summary: I got this headset free with my phone, and I liked it enough to buy another to keep in my car. There are some problems with it, as I mentioned above, but overall I find it to be better than the other no-name headsets I have used.

Strengths: Comfortable, good sound.
Weaknesses: Volume a bit low for a car, at least with my phone. The speaker cover stretches and pulls off a bit too easily after extended use.
Summary: I've had several of these over the last 3 years. So far, none has quit working except when I accidentally wash them, or otherwise mistreat them. So I just keep buying them.

Strengths: Fits in ear comfortably. Lightweight.
Weaknesses: Really long cord.
Summary: This is a great product. I use mine at work with a Vocera, similar to a phone. I like the way it fits into your ear. I tried the one's that fit over your ear and they caused my ear to hurt. I purchased this one to replace the one I had because the cord broke where it joins the plug. I highly recommend this product if you are going to be on the phone a fair amount of time.

Strengths: Light weight, good sound comming in and out
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have owned several headsets through out the years this is one of the better fitting headsets I have owned. It attaches to you ear differently and may seem odd at first but once you wear it for awhile it becomes almost invisible.

Good Clarity, Difficult Use
Strengths: Can hear other party very well; own voice heard clearly.
Weaknesses: Difficult to put on; no answer button.
Summary: In the past I have had headsets where people cannot hear my voice, but they seem to have no problems hearing with this one. I can also hear the other party very well.
The difficulty comes when putting on the headset while driving and then answering that call, as there is no answer button.

Strengths: Very comfortable
Weaknesses: No volume control
Summary: I bought this for the expected comfort, and was not disappointed. The flexible mike is also a good feature. While this item is a great deal for the money, I do think next time I'd go for one with a volume control.

Strengths: Comfortable, excellent sound quality
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is the second one of these that I've purchased. I've been using the other for over a year, and bought this so I could have one for the house and one for the car. It's the best I've found yet.
