Strengths: strong signal, cool design, easy installation
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I love this USB adapter!!!
It is portable and compact. And for a computer beginner like me, it is very easy to install. No hassle at all. I don’t need to open the computer case. All I need to do is to plug it into USB port. And that's all.
It has a good signal range. I have no difficulty using it in my two-bedroom apartment. I have strong signals all the time.
The flip top design makes it look very cool.
I will give this product A+++!

Works Great When You Get The Real Drivers
Strengths: Economic Design
Good Price
Weaknesses: Outdated Drivers
Summary: 2005-09-02 12:54:27 Connection is not very consistent. It will sometimes just lose signal with the default drivers. But after searching the web for new drivers. Installing v3.0 drivers which is not found on Dlink's webpage makes the G-120 performance improve. So after the initial hassle of it not working properly, it is working like it should now.

Strengths: It "looks great"
Weaknesses: Would you like it to work? 'Nough said!
Summary: Absolute junk. D-link admits on their website that the shipped driver for Win98SE WON'T WORK. I bought their DI-524 router with it. Not so fast, buckaroo...my WinXP machine cannot talk TO it, either. Despite uninstall, reinstall of "new" driver, repeating same, and manually trying to "coax" it to work, it's a paperweight! Signal strength @ 25' is worthless...no matter WHERE I MOVE IT! Net is full of complaints about their tech support. Should have stayed w/ my WIRED connection...

Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: Follow installation instructions and you're good to go! Connected no problem with my DI-624 Router. Works well with both low-speed and high-speed USB ports. Will definitely buy again to add additional computers to my network.

Adapter kept on connecting and disconnecting from ...
Strengths: Initially it would work with Windows XP. Good price.
Weaknesses: Inconsistent with connections. Poor Software. Poor Tech support.
Summary: Adapter kept on connecting and disconnecting from the network. I use an older Netgear router and it couldn't find the signal versus the NetGear USB adapter on another computer could. Have had no problem since with the Netgear adapter. Finding that D-Link and Linksys USB adapters are not very good at least the 2 that I've bought. I think the connectivity software/driver support is to blame, or firmware within the actual hardware. Oh well, it's off to buy another Netgear USB adapter.

I was working with technical support for 2 months ...
Strengths: 802.1g and 54 mb/s speed.
Weaknesses: Poor Technical support on toll free number which uses VoIP for contacting support. Couldn't configure to work with encryption key.
Summary: I was working with technical support for 2 months but
D-Link support could not make it work with my D-Link Super-G router using encryption key. D-Link uses Internet Telephony (VoIP) for their toll free number for Technical support which keeps on dropping calls and you have to call again and again and explain same problem to new tech. support guy again and again call drops. They are not allowed to call back customer as it is company policy. Even if my call keeps dropping they don't have courtesy to call back customer. I bought thinking it has 3 years technical support but it's of no use. Technical support is not very knowledgeable to troubleshoot problem deeply. I returned product 3 times and got replacment and finally it worked for 1 day and again USB adapter stopped working after reboot of computer next day?? I will never advice it to buy.

Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Not a usable product.
Summary: Worst D-Link product ever ! I have been a D-Link guy for a long time but this product is just crap. What you are buying is plastic ! Nothing else ! My 11b DWL-120+ works better then this stupid network adapter. I have had problems with non + product by D-Link. My recommendation is not to buy anything D-Link that is not a "+" or an "extreme". Any other product D- Link product is cheaper and of useless quality, with regards to networking product that is.

Strengths: Good signal, easy setup, low price
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I bought this wireless adapter for less than $20 US after rebates as an addition to a laptop with no wireless adapter. The installation process was very smooth under Windows XP (this was not the first time I have installed a wireless card.) The signal strenght is good enough for my two bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, I have only used this card with a D-Link wireless router, so I can not attest to the compatibility problems other reviewers have mentioned using other brands of wireless routers. The only small problem I encountered is during initial installation, the usb cable was not inserted fully into the external antenna/card. I thought the cable was attached, but the card was not working. All it required was a little extra push and the cable becomes very securely attached to the card.
I am very happy so far with this product, installation, signal strenght, etc., and would recommend it to anyone who needs a 802.11g wireless adapter.

Bad Plastic design
Strengths: Same as other G adapter
Weaknesses: broken just by lifting the antenna!!!
Summary: Got this from Buy.com because it has rebate. You can't believe how bad the plastic design, I lift the antenna, and the bottom plastic screws holder broke!
To me it works fine, just like other G adapter should be, but the plastic is that weak makes it the worst D-link I ever had. I am a D-link guy for 5 years but I will be no more!

*Sigh*
Strengths: Works half the time
Weaknesses: Only works half the time
Summary: I've has this thing connected for 10 months, in two different rooms in my condo. The range is week and rarely do I get anthing better than a 'good' connection despite being only 10 feet (and two plaster walls) away. My roomate's equipment works well, without fail. When starting up, the network connection takes several minutes to work and ceases to work over long periods of time, prompting a reboot to fix it.
Frustrating- I don't reccomend it.

Strengths: stable
Weaknesses: it is not easy to set up.
Summary: I t took me two day to set up this wireless connection. I do not know much about wireless router and adapter. I am just a user. I suggest it is helpful to supply more intruduction protocol for users. Anyway, I like it after I set up after tens of times try. The single is stable, and adapter works fine. Now I enjoy the wireless connection.

Strengths: Setup was very easy and Windows XP instantly recognized the device. I was able to get great signal strength right away with our Belkin 802.11g router which is upstairs.
Weaknesses: I have had the connection drop a few times on me.
Summary: For the price, this was a great by. I have reasonably fast download speeds and transfer speeds across the network. As I stated, the installation was a breeze, but the unit has some issues with dropped connections every once in a while. It's not enough to make me want to take the unit back, but it is a little annoying
