3 Star ReviewAstar HT3300, it's low price is right for what you get
Strengths: low price. Nice looking product. Sleek profile/case. Decent instructions for connecting and layout of speakers.
Weaknesses: Component video support. DVD tray No remote power on/off.
Summary: I went looking for the lowest price home theater system I could find, and think I got it. I'm not a big audio freak, so the quality of the sound isn't too important to me. I wanted a decent system with surround sound, and this fits the bill.

I did have a problem setting this up to use composite videos cable the first night. I found that the system REQUIRES S-Video or Composite video in order to get to the on-screen Menu system where you need to select YUV video output. I spent over 1 hour messing with cables with no picture, before stumbling on page 22 of manual showing an obscure clue to this. Of course, I also found that the RESET option is just below that, which resets it all to factory defaults (including video output), so I needed to reconfigure several times by accidentally doing the reset thing. Now I have Component video AND composite connected to handle this in the future (which means I need to remember which source to use when watching DVDs unless nobody cares if they use the composite vs component quality).

Placing of DVD in the tray isn't fool-proof; the DVD needs to go back farther than you expect (slightly into the case), and the spot where the disk is supposed to rest in the tray isn't easily visible.

Also, I had expected a remote control ability to turn on and off this device. No such luck (at least not that I've found yet). Main power switch is only on the front of the device.

Overall, I got about what I expected, and about what I paid for. I'm not willing to pay more, so I can't complain. If you want an inexpensive theater system, I would say this fits.
