Strengths: Easy installation
heavy wire
amplified to guard against loss
Weaknesses: If run is over 50 feet outside, the large end of the unit will not fit through a small hole in the wall. You'll need two of these then and that gets pricey!
Summary: 2004-08-01 13:33:35 Bought this from Buy.com as it was the cheapest find on the internet, even beating ebay. It is hard to tell just from looking at the unit over the internet how it works. If you require an extension cord for your sirius antenna, like I did to run to my stereo inside, this is the product you'll need.
The 30 foot cord included on the antenna that comes with the sirius receiver is not long enough if you need to run to the center of the room and then wire it antenna below in the basement floor joists to get outside access.
What is that large end for?
The large end had a rubber boot on it that you slip over the original antenna and connect to the extension. (This large part will not disconnect to fit through a small hole to fee the antenna wire through. You are stuck one the large end hits the small hole you drilled for the wire.) I assume that this large end is the amplifier to guard against siganl loss with the long run of cable.
Works great, easy to install. Not many competing products out there yet. Would love to see a micro coax splitter some day too...

Strengths: Provides exactly what it advertises.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: The extension for my Sirius antenna works perfectly and allows me the ability to move the antenna anywhere inside or outside of my condo. It's easy to hook up and easy to use. Of course, getting good reception on Sirius has been a challenge, but that is through no fault of the extension.

Strengths: Thick wire with an amplifer since it is so long. The amplifier is great.
Weaknesses: The amplifier is bulky so it will not go through a small hole where you run the wire.
Summary: 2004-11-14 12:19:47 Good product. The Terk extension is perfect to get your satellite antenna in the correct position to receive the best reception. I use the product outside and it has not shown any major wear. It appears to be well manufactured. For the price and ease of installation, I recommend this product.

Strengths: Good length extension to let antenna sit outside.
Weaknesses: Makes it difficult to shut my front door.
Summary: If you require an extension cord for your sirius antenna, like I did to run to my stereo inside, this is the product you'll need. My tiny condo only has 1 window that was built to open, so I needed a really long cord to get from the stereo system and then out the front door. The 30 foot cord included on the antenna that comes with the sirius receiver is not long enough.

Strengths: Great quality, built in amplifier.
Easy to install - just plug it in.
Weather resistant.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This extension kit is an absolute necessity for a home/office installation if you do not live in a "major metropolitan area". Undoubtedly, there are no signal repeaters where I live. Window mounting of the antenna does not give any signal. With the 15' cord standard with any boombox/home kit, a longer cord is needed to reach the roof. Once the antenna is mounted on the roof, all signal problems are resolved.

Strengths: Thick cable. Well made.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: Overall, this is a great product if you need to extend the length of cable from your Sirius antenna to your receiver. Although I wasn't sure if I would need the extra length, I got the cable anyway just in case. The cable is made of a rather thick and heavy-duty cable (which isn't quite clear when looking at pictures of the product on the web), and the connectors are good. This definitely seems good for outdoor use with a good rubber boot provide to cover the connection of this cable to that of the antenna. I would definitely recommend this product for people requiring extra antenna cable length.

Strengths: Thick cord and it does a better job of getting the signal. You can pretty much go anywhere with this cord as it gives you 50 extra feet.
Weaknesses: Still have cutouts here and there
Summary: Overall a good product, I just need to test the area of where to get the best signal now. Getting a signal from sirius in the house has been a struggle, but this product can do a better job than getting the only 30 feet from the in home kit.

Strengths: Works perfectly in my windowless office with this extension to an outside (north) window in an adjoining office supply room.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I've never been able to listen to radio in my windowless office. When I bought Sirius radio, I didn't think about the need for line-of-site to the satellite. My building manager ran this extension to another office's supply room, mounting it by the window facing north, and it works beautifully.

Strengths: Plenty of length to reach almost anywhere you need to put your Sirius radio. Great for boosting signal and overcoming interference.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Great way to expand your signal and clarity of your Sirius radio. I use it with the Sirius boom box in my office and it has helped overcome interference and given me a stronger signal.

Strengths: Easy to use, seems durable, and has flexible usage (indoor or outdoor).
Weaknesses: none that I can detect.
Summary: This is just what I needed to extend the reach of my Sirius satellite radio antenna through my home to the nearest window. Easy to use and even has holes for mounting the in-line amplifier/connection point to a wall.
