Strengths: EXCELLENT radio station reception! Lots of features. USB flash drive capability. MP3, CD-R, and CD-RW capability
Weaknesses: Will not continuously display time/clock, no front panel AUX-in connector.
Summary: I purchased the Pyle PLCD65WXMU In Dash CD/MP3 Player (MP3 Support, XM Ready) basically due to the low cost and high number of features. I really like this unit! It does everything I need, only couple complaints I have is (1)there is no AUX connector on the front panel, although the rear panel has 2 and (2) you must press a button to display the clock/time and it only displays for a few seconds - there is no way to continously display the clock so you can't just glance at your radio to see what time it is, you must first press a button and that button is in somewhat of a awkward location (just above the vol knob). Receiver has lots of features and will play just about any CD/CDR/CDRW you give it (with regular audio or full of MP3 files). The USB input on the front panel is excellent for connecting a USB flash drive. It is XM ready but I don't have the service, so I can't comment on this feature. First unit I purchased did have a problem - occasionally when in another mode (Radio, USB, etc.) the CD mechanism would try to play a CD (even if there was no CD in the unit) so momentarily the unit would swith to CD Play mode and make a spinning noise as if trying to play a CD. During this time, the unit would go silent for about 2-3 seconds and then resume the playing in the previous mode. Called tech support and they said it's a defective unit. Going to replace it today. Assume that this was corrected with the replacement unit unless I amend this review.

Strengths: Many functions, USB input, USB recording
Weaknesses: Sometimes skip when playing a CD
Summary: A very good unit. Sound quality is excellent, and it has tons of functions. Three FM-bands plus AM band programming - you can put all the stations there. Not only it works as an MP3 player, it RECORDS to USB! And it does it very smart, creating a separate AUDIO folder.

Many functions means that every button is responsible for several actions, so it took me time to learn, but there is some logic behind. Some functions seem excessive, like MP3 search by name. Do you want to memorize what button corresponds to what letter, and type at 70 mph? Anyway, it is a very good unit for a good price.

Strengths: USB input for MP3 devices. XM ready.
Weaknesses: Some buttone/controls are awkward to use
Summary: This is a nice receiver with lots of features for the price range it is in. You can use your USB flash drive and play mp3 songs from it - just plug it in the front of the receiver. Will also play mp3s on CDR and CDRWs.
