Strengths: Bright, clear picture
Weaknesses: Narrow viewing angle
Summary: I wanted an HDTV under $2000 that wasn't obscenely large and that wouldn't overwhelm my room; this 37" LCD from Sharp has fit the bill completely. HD programming and DVDs look great on it, though, of course, standard broadcasts look awful. My only complaint is that one must be viewing the TV head on to get the best picture; the viewing angle seems quite narrow.

Strengths: Color depth, sound and overall picture quality is outstanding. The black LCD unit is stunning. The sleek black design blends the LCD into the room.
Weaknesses: Short power cord.
Summary: I spent a lot of time reviewing various brands and LCD sizes at the big box stores. This Black 37" Sharp LCD is aesthetically masterful as it blends a large picture display into the family room. The 37" gives you big picture enjoyment without the overbearing larger display God like worship. This is our first LCD HD experience. We put the Sharp, on its stand, above the fireplace. You feel like you are in the game or movie when watching an HD event. I still feel like I'm in the front row while watching from the kitchen, 35 feet away. We went from a standard 27" flat screen Sony to the Sharp. Wow! What a difference. I highly recommend this Sharp 37" LCD.

Strengths: "Sharp black look", cable card slot, HDMI, 16.9 Aspect ratio, 170 D viewing angles, 800:1 contrast ratio, and much more..
Weaknesses: Nothing as yet...
Summary: I have been playing this TV for the last 2 weeks without any HD stream (moving), but picture quality is still fantastic. Slick look make it attractive even when its not turned on. I have seen it at the store running HD stream with superb quality. In fact, I have been comparing some other LCD/Plasma TV and finally decided to go with the Sharp when this one displayed the best view. But don't take my word for it, go to a local store and compare it side by side with your top 3 choices.

1 Star ReviewSharp already lost LCD battle field
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: Although sharp's panel used to the best and biggest in LCD TV market, it doesn't care customers' need: bad TV quality, slow new technology, slow respond speed, low constrast ratio, high price, ugly style and many problems. This is why it is the loser.
