Onscreen TV guide does not work in Los Angeles area. Summary: 2006-02-14 02:21:48 I am totally frustrated by the fact that the On screen TV guide does not work. I called LG customer service and all they could say was that the Gemstar system which uploads TV program for on screen TV guide is broken in Los Angeles area and they don't know when the system will be up and functional. Without the on screen TV guide, the built-in DVR is basically useless. The other problem I notice with this unit is that the clock on the tv cannot be set manually if you have already tried to set up the tv guide option. 89% of People (33/37) found this review helpful. This has the BEST picture I have seen yet on a Plasma. Bar none. Looking at the model in the store sold me. The others were not close. Ease of use also! Weaknesses: The DVR is a bit clunky because of the connection to TV Guide. I have yet to call the company to get it figured out though, maybe that will happen tonight. Summary: This is a beautiful TV, and I would buy it again tomorrow. No other TV could compare and I would certainly buy another one. I love the placement of the outputs also.
