Strengths: Sharp color, no dead pixels, very fast response time, no apparent ghosting
Weaknesses: None to report yet.
Summary: This is my 3rd LCD, first by Samsung. My last 2 were Dell 17" LCDs and the 740b far surpasses the Dells in all aspects. Even in price

Strengths: I love it, its fast , beautiful and BRIIIGHT, good thing you can turn the brightness down, but I think my eyes got used to its splendor. No dead pixles
Weaknesses: No adjustable stand!
Summary: my first lcd and i love it, i gotta get the dvi cable to fully appreciate it. but remember, if you need an adjustable monitor, this might be a problem.

Strengths: Just got the monitor today right on time. So far everything looks great, has a great picture and no dead pixels.
Weaknesses: So far no weaknesses, great monitor for the price
Summary: This was the first time i ever owned a lcd monitor, I shopped around and this was by far the best monitor for the price I could find. I considered bying a cheaper model but the idea of dead pixels scared me a little. Very glad i went with the Samsung brand.

Strengths: Clear, brilliant color and fine definition
Weaknesses: Narrow viewing angle for complex coloring
Summary: I've been using this monitor for graphics work and am generally happy with it. Although it distorts complex values of hue, brightness and saturation at angles off by only 10-15 degrees, this is not a big problem for desk work and the simpler run of text and image pages stay clear to twice that spread. Some initial light banding distortion clears up after a minute running time and may be the cable or signal and not the monitor at all. Response time on rapid video movement is excellent with no blur at high speed action.
