Strengths: Color Screen, Ease of use, Tons of options, very quick lock on GPS sat., can keep strong signal indoors or in car, very accurate
Weaknesses: Screen is difficult to see without backlight on (which draws on batteries more). Buttons can be difficult to press, must press them very hard. Computer connnection is difficult to connnect to GPS
Summary: One of the things I really like about this is the color screen. It is very easy to discern different roads and waypoints. It comes with tons of options like tides, sun/moon set/rise, thermometer and barometer that tracks over 48 hrs. It is compact and seems very solid (with the possible exception of the battery cover, though im sure it is still waterproof). It is also very accurate and can get a sat. lock even indoors. My major problems with it is that the screen is difficult to read without having the backlight on, which drains the batteries faster and buttons can be very difficult to press. This seems to be more the case with the left side than the right. I also wish it came with some software for the computer. While the connection cable can be difficult (it must be screwed in with a thumbscrew into the unit at an akward angle) it seems to be solid when it is actually attached. Since no software came with the unit, I have been using EasyGPS, a free software, to enter waypoints and routes for my upcoming trip across the US. Also, the manual is spotty in some ways and detailed in others. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product.
