bubblehog Member Since: May 2004 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 1 Months	Broan Allure II and III Range Hoods Strengths: Adaptable, very quiet, good lighting, easy to clean Weaknesses: None noted Summary: We replaced a previous Allure II vent hood when our kitchen appliances were replaced with a different finish. Both the previous Allure II (used for 4 years) and the new Allure III are excellent vent hoods, with high air flow and low noise levels. The halogen reflector flood lamps are much better than the typical plain light bulb for stovetop illumination, and both feature a handy night light feature. The hoods can be configured for recirculation with replaceable activated charcoal odor filters or outside exhaust through round or rectangular vents with rear or top connection. Summary: I chose the Broan Allure III because of its non-ducted capability. This is helpful for those who cannot connect the range hood to a duct that leads outside of their house. The Allure III also has a 430 CFM setting that is much more powerful than any other model that I've researched. You must purchase the charcoal filters and two halogen bulbs separately. Weaknesses: None yet! I have not used it for cooking yet but expect it to work well. Summary: The Allure III stainless steel hood not only looks beautiful in my new kitchen but performs well. Although I have not cooked in my new kitchen yet, I've run this beautiful hood through all the cycles and seems to work fine. Also love the good lighting from the two halogen bulbs and this makes my kitchen look great. Best price through PriceGrabber. I'm happy and would buy it again.
