 Very poor quality Fridge Strengths: Bottom Freezer, Internal Water Dispenser, Bright refrigerator lights
Weaknesses: Very flimsy shelfs and storage parts; Very noisy compressor; Overall bad build quality
Summary: I bought this Fridge 8 months ago and it has given us only trouble. Within couple of days of use, the water dispenser was broken. Couple of weeks later one of the shelfs broke. The French Doors look nice but they are a pain to open. The entire Fridge shakes when you try to open one of the doors. To top it all, last week the Fridge stopped working all of a sudden. With much coaxing with the customer rep, the GE technician came in over the weekend - 3 days after we reported teh problem. The motherboard and circuits that control the fridge system broke. The technician was utterly confused as he did not understand the electronics in the fridge. He was on the phone all the time during the visit getting instructions from an engineer on what could be wrong with the fridge. Finally, the part is not available and would have to be backordered with no definite arrival time. Overall, the Fridge is a piece of crap. Other than its good looks, the product is a engineering and quality disaster. So much so for GE's six sigma initiative of 3.4 defects per million products. I can find many defects just in my Fridge.
