1 Star ReviewToshiba 62HM95
Strengths: Picture in a picture size great when swapping between programs
Weaknesses: Breaks all of the time and parts are always on backorder.
Summary: Worst TV we have ever owned! Lamp burned out 3 months after purchasing it (due to back order-out of service for 2-1/2 weeks). The next month the fans were making an obnoxious jet engine sound, and then the following month lamp burned out again and service decided maybe a new light engine would help. The estimated backorder of the parts is 3 weeks (total downtime should be a month, if parts come in on time). What can you do? Nothing. Best Buy has a firm policy (parts must be replaced 4 times before they will consider replacement) and Toshiba tries to comfort you in any way EXCEPT replacing a faulty unit.

Super Bowl was interesting on a 13" TV, cant wait to see miniature Nascar race in Daytona. :(

1 Star ReviewToshiba 62HMX95
Strengths: Great picture, Great looking set, lots of inputs
Weaknesses: lamp blew after 2mo, started getting very dark first, toshiba tech support was very poor and could not get the lamp because it was on back order, obviously they have had alot of problems
Summary: After 2mo the lamp burned out and toshiba was very hard to get a hold of. Once I contacted tech. support the told me the lamo has been burning out on all there models and at this time they are on back order and could not tell me when they will be shipping them out. Of course this all happens on Superbowl week. no Superbowl at my house.

1 Star ReviewThis is Bulb Sh_ _!
Strengths: Good picture when the lamp is working!?*&$%#@!
Weaknesses: The damn bulb sucks! NO wonder they "Warranty" it for 180 days because on the 181st day forward your lamp will pop and break! Toshiba service and technicians will say "sorry, tough luck"!
Summary: This is my 3rd Lamp in 16 month!!!! Can you beleive it! I'm thinking on filing a class actions suit. Everyone is having this problem. AT 3K for this tv, it costs you $220 to $300 to replace this everytime! Toshiba Sucks!

Summary: What a disaster, this is the worst experience ever. I bought this tv 2 months ago and so far the bulb burns out twice. I have use this tv less than waiting for the bulb be shipped by Toshiba and worst their customers reps are a nightmare! Avoid this purchased at all cost!

1 Star ReviewToshiba 62HM95
Strengths: Excellent Picture
Weaknesses: Bulbs Blow
Summary: Had TV 6 weeks. Brought myself a nice TV for Christmas. Had read reviews and decided on Toshiba. Was very happy for 6 weeks. Was waiting on Olympic's and Daytona in Hi-Def

and the bulb blew. Called Toshiba and they would replace bulb but it would take 7-10 days because they were on backorder. Called a week later to find out status and they told me that the replacement bulb had accidently been canceled. But they would get me one as soon as they come in. Backordered again another 7-10 days. I was not a very happy person at this point. Toshiba service really needs help they all have the I don't care attitude. The Tv is a great set for the price if they can do something about the

Bulb failure. Knowing what I know now I don't believe I would buy one. $3000 may not be much for Toshiba but it is a small fortune for me. I may even boycott all Toshiba products and I used alot of their computer products.

1 Star ReviewWatch out
Strengths: Beautiful cabinet
Weaknesses: Bulbs fail often (3 months) and customer service is horrible.
Summary: You will love your purchase for about 3 months when the bulb burns out. Then you will learn to hate Toshiba for their "we don't care" attitude and their inability to get you a replacement part because they are on back order. The things fail so often, they can't keep parts in stock. If you ignore my advice, and puchase a set from Best Buy, they aren't much help becuase they can't get the parts either. Let the Buyer Beware!

Strengths: Clarity (after we got a new bulb). Decent sound. Great product for the price.
Weaknesses: Bulb blew after 2 months! On December 23! Great quality, but sometimes, I can see that its a 1280x720 and every now and then, I wish we'd gotten a higher resolution.
Summary: So much for watching movies on Christmas. Toshiba had gotten a lot of schlack from other users on the internet for their horrid personal service. I was agitated about the lamp going out so soon after we bought it (made me wish we'd gotten the Best Buy extended warranty). However, we called on December 26 (or was it the 27th?). They shipped it to us overnight UPS on December 28, and I got it today. That's less than a week. The lamp was easy as crud to put in! I wouldnt recommend getting a best buy repairman or anyone to have to come out and do such an incredibly simple thing. The hardest thing was getting the little screws off to pull the old lamp out on the side. Man oh man did we save a lot of time and energy with doing it ourselves.

Otherwise, the picture quality is great for those HDTV movies/channels. SOme of the other stations are hit and miss. The clarity, brightness and colors greatly improved with the new bulb. I couldnt believe hte difference at first.

I would buy it again! Assuming I have no othe problems with it, but it appears as if the bulb is the biggest complaint I've seen with this tv.

Strengths: Awesome picture quality!...Very crisp and clear. Loaded with great features, options, and controls with easy to use menus. Remote is user friendly.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: When looking for a big screen projection TVs, I found that most had poor close up and side angle viewing. This TV stood out above all the rest for its crisp clear picture viewable from any angle or distance. Another good feature is the speakers on the sides of the console (most were underneath) which seems to create better, more dynamic sound. The set up was easy and controls and remote are very user friendly. I highly recommend this TV, if you have the room...It's big.

1 Star ReviewStay away from Toshib HM94 series
Strengths: Beautiful/sharp picture out of the box; acceptable SD signals
Weaknesses: Breaks very often: lamps go bad very quickly (once every three months); the audio echos very often; display is sometimes very shaky (with colorful flashes on the background); POOR service
Summary: Toshiba HM94 series has a beautiful picture but only when it works.

I have had my set for about 10 months; I have ordered a new bulb every three months and it takes 10-17 days to get a new bulb.

Toshiba customer service is simply POOR; they are very incompetent and after a couple minutes of conversation, you will realize that your own knowledge about the TV and the technology is much better than them. They often provide you with very ridiculous suggestions or ask you to call locally authorized service. Local services are not very knowledgable and some, very openly state that, for certain problems (e.g., missing picture), they cannot afford the service call because Toshiba will not compensate them for it.

Summary: I did not know how much I was missing watch my conventional 32" TV. It's almost like I'm not watching TV anymore. I was thinking about a 57" HDTV but am happy I got the 62". Would buy the same TV again.

Strengths: The high definition picture was outstanding. Brightness levels seem to be just as good as plasma. The set was very easy to setup. It took me less then 30 minutes. Manual was one of the best.
Weaknesses: Remote control was overly complex. Split screen works however, product advertizing suggests that there are two tuners. It seems that there is only 1 tuner..
Summary: Despite the weaknesses, I would recoomend this product to others based upon the outstanding quality of the high definition picture. I do think Toshiba could have made it more clear that there is only one tuner and not two tuners.

Strengths: Bright screen, picture quality, tons of inputs, price compared to similar models, toshiba warranty
Weaknesses: fragile in shipping
Summary: After doing a ton of research and checking out 3-4 brands I decided on the toshiba. I bought from 6ave.com and saved a ton over best buy ($1800 less). When the tv arrived it had a big crack across the image on the screen. It was working fine otherwise. 6th ave told me this was a warranty issue to be taken up with toshiba. Its pretty obvious this was shipping damage but I called toshiba anyway. They sent me to an authorized repair shop who had someone out to look at it in 3 days. The repair guy said it was a cracked mirror in the projection system and would probably not be covered under warranty but they would check anyway. As it turns out toshiba covered the repair as a defect even though they clearly did not have to. I couldtn be happier with their service or this tv. I would buy another toshiba product

Strengths: Great picture and price!
Weaknesses: Nothing so far
Summary: I spent 3 months researching DLP, Plasma and LCD TV's and decided that DLP was the best value. Out of the DLP's I was thinking about the Samsung and Toshiba. The reason I chose Toshiba is because it was around $500 cheaper, bigger screen and had the same quality picture.

Strengths: Great picture.
Weaknesses: Lamp unit last for about three months, maybe 1000 hrs.
Summary: I purchased this TV from Best Buy about 2.5 years ago. Have replaced the lamp unit 6 times. This will be the last lamp I buy. I will then sell this piece of garbage to some unsuspecting sucker, just like Toshiba did to me.
