Strengths: Best High Definition pictures I have seen. I have compared ratings, specs, referrals, and everything else. Nothing for the price came close.
Weaknesses: None so far. It did take me some time to learn the remote. I wish it had two HDMI connections, one additional for my Hi Def. DVD player.
Summary: Excellent choice for the money. I was considering a Plasma TV that cost $2000 more (Pioneer), but the picture was not any better. With Satelite or local broadcast, the Hi Def is so Crystal clear. The color and clarity far exceeds my Hi Def LCD TV. There is no comparison. At least for now, don't waist your money on the LCD until the manufactures improve their picture. You can't go wrong with this plasma for the money. I am very happy with my choice.

Strengths: Outstanding picture quality. Internal speakers provide excellent sound. Programming is easy.
Weaknesses: Weight, but what do you expect with a 50" plasma TV? Two person lift. Reputible Retailers
Summary: The Toshiba 50HP95 50" Plama television is a great buy. The picture and sound quality are superior and fill the room without the additional need of a home entertainment system.

Choosing a retailer to obtain this TV may be a challenge. Initially, I used Dr. Plasma from NYC and I recommend you look elswhere due to the deceit and stalling tactics used by this retailer. They told me the item was with the shipper and when I called the shipper, the TV was never sent to them for shipment. The hassle is just not worth it.

I ordered from Digital Megastore in NYC (Brooklyn) and had a good experience. The product was in stock, sent to the shipper and delivered to my door. I was supposed to receive a "free" cleaning kit with this purchase but have yet to receive it. The TV arrived as advertised and was easy to unpack with an assistant.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the TV and highly recommend this product for those who have the space for a 50" plasma TV.

Strengths: The colors and quality of the picture were superior to other 50" Plasma's costing much more. The cabinet design and shape are a compliment to any decor.
Weaknesses: Input labeling should allow for an input to be really hidden. They are still shown only to have their names changed to HIDDEN. It also needs a second HDMI input.
Summary: When we first started looking we thought we were most interested in a rear projection model because of the cost. We were able to compare this plasma next to a high-end rear projection TV in a high lighted area. When we moved to an angle view there was no comparison. The picture was dark on the rear projection TV and there was no loss of picture quality on the Toshiba plasma. That really convinced us we had to have the plasma. The detail and colors are incredibly accurate. The split screen PIP is a pleasure and very easy to use. The remote control is easy to program and works all of our components well. We're now able to operate everyting with only one remote control. We were worried that it might look too large for our living area but it fit perfectly and actually compliments our decor. The cabinet design and colors blended so well in our home. It's hard to let go of that much money but now we know it was worth every penny.

Strengths: Great picture. Lots of little features. Plenty of connections for me. The speakers sound great.
Weaknesses: It is pretty heavy but it is still lighter than my rear projection.
Summary: Compared side by side with Pioneer and Samsung and the Toshiba was right there with them for less money. Upgrading from Toshiba 50" rear projection and could not be happier. I spent a lot of time on the web reading reviews on cnet and other sites.

Strengths: Quality and features for the money.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: There's nothing I can add that the other's didn't already say. This tv is worth every penny for the quality, features, and price (compared to other 50" plasmas). BUY IT!
