Only two screws have to be removed to load drive. Weaknesses: Screws are small Summary: I purchased this enclosure so that I could access 2.5" drives without opening the case and using an adapter on my desktop. I back up the three laptops in my household by popping them out and making images. I also troubleshoot drive formatting/data recovery problems for others quite often. This enclosure works great, and didn't cost much. I would rather have a quicker access method than screws, considering that I change the drives often. The case is very strong and looks good. I can recommend this product whether one intends to use it as I do, or to hold permanent additional storage. 100% of People (6/6) found this review helpful. Easy to plug in the new hard drive and make a clone of my data using Norton Ghost. Includes a nice pocket-size leather carrying case. Weaknesses: USB cable is a bit longer that what I need, and it does not fit into the carry case with the drive. Summary: I bought this enclosure to upgrade my Dell notebook's 5400rpm hard drive to a Hitachi 7200rpm hard drive. I made the swap and now my notebook runs faster and my old 30GB drive is in the case as external storage via the USB 2.0 cable. I was very impressed by this Adaptec case, so I ordered three more of them for use at work in my computer geek job. Nicely engineered product and definitely worth the money.
