Strengths: Do a great job removing impurities and bad tastes from the water used to make coffee.
Weaknesses: Must be replaced every 6-8 weeks.
Summary: 2008-02-08 07:27:28 I have two Cuisinart Brew Central Coffeemakers, an older CBC-00 and a new DCC-1200. They make terrific coffee. I use the filters because I think the filtered coffee tastes better. I've tried using bottled water instead of using the filter, but the filters are just as good and cost less. The filters are an extra cost and another item to keep in stock, but I think they are worth it. I buy them in bulk to save on the number of times I need to reorder.
