Strengths: Easy setup. Large variety of formats including VCD and SVCD. Decent picture quality. Tuner was bale to auto tune all cablevision channels. Can replace the IO box provided by cablevision.
Weaknesses: None noticed
Summary: I got the DVD/VCR to play VHS tapes and VCD's. Cablevision charges 10 dollars to use their IO digital box if you are subscribed to family package. My TVdoes not have a tuner. so I required a tuner to send bac the I/O box. This product helped me replace the I/O box and also play VCD's which is not common in may of the current DVD player. I can slo use it to playback VHS tapes which is useful if you are watching movies in forein languages that are not always available in DVD format. Overall a very good prduct for the price. I paid 60 dollars at P.C.Richard and son.
