Strengths: always a great product
Weaknesses: price is high for number of pages printed.
Summary: It is a great product. It could use a lower price. They store well as in original packaging. Refurbished tend to dry out. I like the directions that come with printer on installing.

Strengths: Great quality ink
Weaknesses: Expensive for amount of pages it prints
Summary: I bought this from the HP website and they have free overnight shipping which is great. HP has great quality ink so there's no complaints. It was packaged in a box and brand new.

Its not worth the price
Strengths: I won't argue that the printing quality is poor, the prints are nice.
Weaknesses: Very expensive for a mere 120 some pages.
Summary: I was so sick of spending money for these cartridges that I upgraded to a laser color printer for 300$. I am a college student so I shouldn't have a lot of cash to waste right? Well upgrading to a laser printer was a smart move - precisely because this inkjet stuff is too expensive. 2500 pages for 50 dollars on a laser versus 15 dollars for "150" pages on an inkjet. At 20% the cost I quickly cover the initial investment of a laser color printer. To be more precise, by the equivalent of my 25th black ink replacement I have made back the money I spent. If you print 10 pages a day, it takes less than a year to break even. In my case, I print much more than that so my investment is well worth it.

Strengths: Good quality
Weaknesses: Nothing to complain!
Summary: 2007-06-27 13:48:00 Excellent! I am very satisfied with with its quality. I've been using it almost 6 months now, and I print out a lot but the cartridge has a long life!! I will definitely order from them again.

Strengths: Prints about 150 pages with one cartridge.
Weaknesses: It costs about $15 per cartridge.
Summary: It prints about 150 pages with the cartridge. Which makes it great a cartridge. It produces great pages and clearly printed pages. I recommend the printer which uses the HP 21 cartridge.

Strengths: Print quality is very good: Clear print, no stains on paper.
Weaknesses: run out of ink faster than expected.
Summary: I bought this one for my HP F380 All-in-One Deskjet to change the old one that came in with that all-in-one machine. The print quality is very satisfactory: the print is very clear with no stain on it. With this Deskjet, it runs less noisy than another old Canon one in my office. Combined with the HP 22 color ink cartridge, it makes good prints and copies for me. And it is easy to install it: just put it in the right position on the Deskjet and push it until it gets hitched. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the old one has being running out much faster than expected. I don't think I have printed 150 pages and now the old one is almost gone. Every new one costs about 11-15 dollars. That is 7-10 cents per page.

Strengths: very easy to put into printer and great results
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I am not very handy with printers but I did not have any trouble taking out the old cartridge and installing the new replacement cartridge form HP. I only trust name brands as I know they stand behind their product and I have never had any problems with them.

Money Down the Drain
Strengths: Print quality is good using black ink, even when using "draft" mode to print. Never tried to print anything high-quality with the color, so can't really say.
Weaknesses: Cost and frequency of replacing cartridge. I ususally print everything in "draft" mode just to save ink, and even doing this, I get about 100 pages per cartridge.
Summary: I knew that there had to be a catch when I bought the printer (HP 3930) for only $30, but I didn't think I would have to replace the ink cartridges so much, when I print so little.
I've had this printer for a few months, and I've already had to buy 3 cartridges (see "weaknesses" above).
If you're looking to buy a printer, great job checking this out before you purchase. Don't buy a printer that uses this cartridge.
I'm looking for a new printer today, because I'm not going to put my money down the drain on this product anymore.

Strengths: GOOD QUALITY / EOM HP
Weaknesses: RATED AT 150 PAGES - CARTRIDGE IS GOOD FOR ~120
Summary: GOOD QUALITY PRINTS - BUT CARTRIDGE DOES NOT YIELD 150 PAGER AS STATED
(AT 5% COVERAGE) - ANOTHER ANNOYING PART OF THIS PRODUCT IS THAT PRINTER STARTS TO TELL YOU TO CHANGE THE CARTRIDGE WHILE YOU HAVE ENOUGH INK FOR ANOTHER ~50 PAGES. IN GENERAL I LIKE EPSON AND CANON - BETTER BANG FOR A BUCK.
STILL IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT.

Strengths: Price is reasonable, especially due to lots of buying options.
Print quality is reasonably good.
Weaknesses: Cartidge is relatively small and would need frequent replacement.
Summary: Packaging was excellent from the manufacturer.
Considering the cartridge size and number of number of pages printed (approx. 170 with an HP3940), it is definitely value for money. I personally prefer the smaller size of the cartridge that HP21 is, since it makes it less likely the ink would dry up during periods of inactivity.

Not high yield...
Strengths: Great compact design, great hp quality.
Weaknesses: 150 page yield! Horrible!
Summary: Used in HP All-In-One F335. Great print speed. Wonderful copy quality and speed. Nice scanner. Everything about this product great EXCEPT finding out that the HP21 Black Ink cartridge has a yield of approx. 150 pages. That is just weak. Anywhere from 14-18 US dollars... guess you get what you pay for, huh?

Strengths: Very good sharpness of black ink
Weaknesses: Very quantity of paper to print out (150 Pages)
Summary: If the HP company design the ink container that bigger than this product, it will generate more benefit to customer and it will give more convenience for customer as well.

Strengths: This cartridge was easy to find, affordable, and easy to install. The print quality is very good.
Weaknesses: It should be larger for a longer lasting use and print page quanitity.
Summary: The HP 21 Black Inkjet cartridge is sealed in an air tight plastic bag surrouned by a cardboard box, to protect it from shipping damage, and to help keep the ink from evaporating if it has been on a stores self or in stock at a for a long period of time.
