3 Star ReviewI purchased this item (regrettably) as a second ch ...
Strengths: Good cosmetic looks (media box slim line design), ease in initially connecting the system components, user manual instructions. Excellent remote control.
Weaknesses: System has average subwoofer bass response. There was difficulty in connecting system to certain components.
Summary: 2003-10-01 07:54:14 I purchased this item (regrettably) as a second choice because the internet site that I made my

purchase for a plasma TV ran out of stock of the DAV-900 system. The SONY WEGA 42" TV that

I purchased with it is, however, a great cosmetic companion to this system so I decided not to

return this item. I was very disappointed with the subwoofer bass response (the 100 watt rating

fof it as well as the 600 watt rating for this 6:1 Dolby system is questionable). So, I purchased

an active self-powered JBL subwoofer to "beef" up my lower frequency response in oreder to en-

hance my surround sound system. Also, I had to purchase a pair of companion floor stands

from SONYSTYLE in order to cosmetically enchance the rear pair of surround sound speakers. My

advice to home theater buyers is to purchase one of the Panasonic home theater systems as I

can't recommend this system.
