1 Star ReviewDoes not rinse well
Strengths: Quiet
Weaknesses: Leaves clear film on dishes that comes off when rubbed. Dishes need to be hand-rinsed so that we don't wind up ingesting the chemical residue.
Summary: This is a repeat of my review of the P-series. This model is the same as the others in the P-series except for the stainless steel door.

My guess is that in order to qualify for Energy Star, Kitchenaid designed a machine that makes dishes look okay only with a chemical coating on them that the machine doesn't rinse off. The dishes don't really get rinsed. During the dry cycle, I can see soap cascading off the dishes. This has not turned out to be an energy saving dishwasher since I have to hand rinse and rub the dishes after they come out of the machine. Otherwise, running a finger across a dish leaves a film on my finger that feels something like dried soap. We really don't want to eat that stuff. I'm sure that it can't be good for us. I was having no problems with my 30-year-old dishwasher before this, but I replaced it to save energy. With all the extra handwashing, I am sure I am using way more energy. Others have had simlar problems with this machine. I'm disgusted with Kitchenaid's lack of ethics here.
