Strengths: Cleans well, gets water HOT! Beautiful stainless steel cover. Also, love the window/gauge for the rinse.
Weaknesses: very minor but I wish the utinsil holder's "holes" were big enough so I could actually put my flatware in through them.
Summary: Purchased as part of a small kitchen remodel (I chose the KA gas range in ss and the ss is tough to match with other brands).

Runs very quiet. I went back and forth on getting a model with "Whisper Quiet" vs "Whisper Quiet Plus" and finally ended up with just the "WQ" because of the price. While I won't know how the noise compares to one with "WQP" -- I'm pretty happy with this one. It's fairly quiet.

I also love the delay start function! There have been so many times I would load my dw to run but would forget to turn it on (like when I'm watching tv after dinner and don't want noise interference). So many times I would forget only to find dirty dishes the next morning.

As for the inside, the top rack is very deep so it's great to put in extra pans or tall travel mugs.

The bottom rack is designed so the utensil basket sits at the very edge - not smack in the middle as with my old dw.

My first test trial included really gunked-up dishes. I figured that give me an idea of how much pre-rinsing I would need to do. But even with caked on food -- this KA delivered everything -- spotless. I know it has a garbage disposal feature but I just can't bring myself to actually toss plates with leftover food on it -- into the dw. I guess old habits die hard.

Also, the small window that shows how much rinse you have left -- is a brilliant idea. No more guessing.

As for the drawbacks, I think the price is a bit high...at least much higher than other models such as GE, Frigidaire etc. Also, while I love the ss look and would not trade it - it does dirty up easily.

Lastly, this is certainly a small weakness but my flatware pieces won't fit through the center holes that keep utensil from banging into each other. I wish the utensil basket was better designed.
