Strengths: Tight Bass. Musical sound.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This is a perfect subwoofer for small to medium sized rooms. it has great sound/bass that is not boomy but very tight and musical. with level/crossover controls and both speaker & line level inputs it can integrate with any receiver. Build quality is excellent and looks great too. i use it in a polk audio setup and it works very well. movie watching is not the same anymore.

Strengths: Tight, loud, versatile.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Awesome sub for the money. This little 8 inch sub is much nicer to listen to than most 10 inch subs that cost twice as much. The sound is very tight and clean. I got it just for an office system to compliment some in-wall JBL speakers that have no noticeable bass at all. This thing does the job perfectly. Even with a carpet over concrete floor, this little guy just thunders. Adjustable crossover is very nice to have on a budget priced sub. Overall, this is a 200 dollar plus subwoofer that I paid 130 for. You can't do much better than that.

Strengths: only 8" but got powerful bass as 10" above.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I got it after compare with my another 10" subwoofer, it is not loser, strong and powerful bass into your heart. I have it with my JVC AV receiver, they are great integrated as home theater.

Strengths: Front Firing, Adjustable crossover and volume, auto power on/off, and low price!
Weaknesses: None. This subwoofer is a great value.
Summary: I just had to write a review for the infinity subwoofer I purchased about a month ago. Because it does a fantastic job! I didn't really notice until last night I turned it off for about an hour -- what a difference! It adds all the subtle low tones (even in voices) that were missing before.

I really like Infinity speakers, and this sub has a similar sound to other Infinity's I love so much.

THE SOUND- very clear, not too muddy, and it steps up to the plate in delivering deep room-shaking bass. And I love LOUD bass. The Lows are smooth and deep and blend well with the satellites because of the variable crossover and volume.

However, if you want to have a party with loud earth shattering bass, there is no substitute for 12" sub(s).

You will love it. And the price is right too!

Strengths: Great BASS!
Weaknesses: Big Size
Summary: I got this unit last week. I am setting up a 5.1 HT system. My Polk R50 floorstanding speakers deliver amazing bass, but the addition of Infinity PS8 makes my Home Theater experience even better, especially for Hip-Hop/Techno music playback.

Since I have a medium size living room, PS8 looks a little too big for me....And the cross-over setting is kind of confusing...But overall, this is a great subwoofer.

Strengths: Nice resolution great quality/price ratio.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: 2006-10-19 07:35:42 I replaced a Aiwa subwoofer that came with a "Home-Theater-in-a-Box" package bought several years ago. The sound was always boomy and never tight with the Aiwa subwoofer.

The Infinity PS-8 is far superior than the Aiwa in every aspect. It is louder, richer and has a great sound resolution. The Infinity PS-8 also has a crossover dial (55-150 kHz), which can be set to handle all the bass below the lower limit of your main speakers, and it is nice to have that flexibility. Overall, I am very, very happy with this subwoofer, specially for the price paid (~ $100).
