Strengths: has an on/off switch. has a second firewire port so can daisy chain.
Weaknesses: have to reformat it as soon as you get it because it comes automatically in FAT32. is designed only to stand up straight rather than lie flat.
Summary: I bought this when my old Maxtor drive died on me. So far this one seems to do everything I need it to. I've dumped 20GB of mp3's on it, and it has been working fine for that. I'm also planning on using it for system backups. I'd say my biggest complaint is that it comes with an unattractive sticker on the side that says "do not remove or warranty is voided," so obviously you can't remove it... But that hardly impacts functionality. I also really like that it has an on/off switch, because my computer desk is visible from my bed, and I hate having a glowing light blinking at me when I'm trying to go to bed.
