Strengths: Has everything from Wifi 802.11 B/G, Bluetooth, USB, Firewire. Svideo Output, Multimedia Slots for SD/CF. Microphone/Speaker Connections, Dual Layer DVD Writer.
Weaknesses: The case material shows every fingerprint that touches it and must be cleaned daily
Summary: I love this notbook. I've wanted one for a while but really didn't need a second computer. It has everthing and more, wireless is the best thing ever. The main reason I got this though was the fact that it's a "LIVESTRONG" special edition.

Strengths: Display, multimedia, performance, sleek design, no need for upgrade
Weaknesses: Average sturdiness. Low battery warning comes on seconds before it dies.
Summary: This notebook has completely replaced my desktop. The display is fantastic minus the glare in strong light. Photo and video editing are a breeze for the processor and ram (although another gig would be optimal). Integrated wireless picks up signals very well. Lots uf USB, media card reader and expansion slots on the sides of the computer NOT the back makes it easier to connect anything you may need.

The multimedia is my favorite part of this computer. Quickplay function lets you play music or DVDs without booting into windows and the wireless remote fits neatly into an expansion slot on the side of the computer.

The only downside, if you can call it that, is the sturdiness factor. Im probably a little bit off on this but I would love to see a laptop with a harder case. Being tall (6'4") I have a tendancy to pick up laptops one handed and I feel like I need to be very gentle. Laptops arent frisbees but a little more constitution on this would have made it flawless.

Strengths: first thing you notice is the sleek advanced design!
Weaknesses: battery only last 2 hours playing a dvd.
Summary: I purchased this laptop to use for school. I was actually looking for something smaller but i couldn't resist the price of the dv4040us at the time. I love everything about it. The sleek Design. The 100gb storage space for all my movies and mp3s. The only thing that i would want to do now is buy a longer lasting battery. I like to watch movies on the widescreen, but the battery only lasts for 1 movie. Definitely worth the money i paid!
