Weaknesses: Poor top closure mechanism
Summary: This unit heats water just fine and reasonably quickly, and it looks good. However, I do not like the "push-button" top that opens by rotating around a center axis. First, the feel of the latching mechanism is not positive; rather, sort of mushy. Second, I am currently nursing a steam burn that happened when I was pouring all of the water into a pot -- the top decided to rotate as I got toward the end of the pour, and the steam hit a spot at the outer base of my thumb. I haven't experimented to see whether the latch let go, or whether the latch only prevents rotation in one direction. In any case, the experience makes me not so inclined to recommend this unit.
